Nicole Kidman proves that it's easy to go from long flowing locks to a cropped bob with just a few well-placed hair pins, as she did at last night's Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. It wasn't long ago that Rosario Dawson also donned this switcheroo style, and Angelina did it with this Changeling look. Does Nic pull it off, or is it just a little off?

2009 Critics' Choice Awards: Angelina Jolie

Must be nice to be Angelina Jolie, especially when your Changeling performance is earning so many award nominations. (Having Brad Pitt on your arm must not be bad, either.) Another perk of being Miss Jolie: You don't have to switch up your makeup choices very often. Angelina doesn't stray from her signature look - black eyeliner, false lashes, pale lips - very often, and tonight is no exception. A simple, swingy ponytail and one-shoulder gown are just as low-maintenance and chic. Do you think the look works, or are you ready for a change?

Get Angelina Jolie's Eyeliner Look on the Cheap

Over the weekend, Angelina Jolie upped the wow factor once again with her beautiful red-carpet look at the premiere of Changeling. Last year, I got the lowdown directly from Angelina's makeup artist that Angie is a huge fan of Guerlain Terracotta Loose Kohl Powder in Deep Charcoal Black ($32). While this beloved shade is adored by many, the steep pricetag just might not fit the bill - or should I say your bills.

Start by creating a base with a pale, shimmery eyeshadow, such as Maybelline Expertwear Single Eyeshadow in Linen Shimmer ($2.99).
Next, apply my new favorite (and affordable) felt-tipped eyeliner - Physician's Formula Eye Definer Felt-Tip Eye Marker in Ultra Black ($6.95). To make for a smooth application, try one of these techniques: Either start lining your top lashes from the middle working to the outer corner of the eyes, then line from the inner corner back to the middle or create a series of dots or dashes as a guideline, then connect.
To finish, use a black eye shadow on the lower lash line for a smoky eye, and then apply it over the liquid liner to create a smudgy, diffused look. I like NYX Shadow For Eyes in Black ($3.99).

How-To: The Hocus Pocus Bob

If you want to trick everyone into thinking that you have short hair this Halloween, or if you just like to play around with different styles without succumbing to scary scissors, this fabulous look is for you!

Last week's issue of Us Weekly featured a faux new 'do seen on Eva Longoria, Molly Sims and the newly blonde Nelly Furtado. Angelina Jolie is wearing this hairstyle on the set of her latest movie, Changeling, too.

This look is easy to achieve, even for amateurs-especially if you follow my four simple steps. To read the details on how to get the hocus pocus bob, read more

STEP 1: Pull hair back into a low ponytail with a hair tie that blends in with the color of your hair. (Goody makes some inexpensive ones.)
STEP 2: Tuck the ponytail under and secure it with bobby pins to hold your hair firmly in place.
STEP 3: Next, pull a generous amount of hair from the tops and the sides to create the illusion that your hair is down.
STEP 4: Lastly, curl the loose hairs with a curling iron so they shorten and look more voluminous. Mist your entire head with hairspray and then loosely pin back any extra long hairs to create an overall shorter appearance!
