Whew! So much has happened over the last three days, and there's been lots of amazing hair and makeup. As I see more shows, I'm happy to report that quite a few of the Spring trends are very pretty and totally wearable.

This morning's Charlotte Ronson show was packed to full capacity. Did the clothes draw the crowds? Maybe — but the chances of seeing Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson might have helped, too.

Last night at the Charlotte Ronson Spring 2008 Fashion Show, the beauty look was contemporary and sophisticated yet girlie—just like the designer's clothing.
Makeup was done by the famed and fancy British artist Charlie Green who used only Flirt! Cosmetics.

Hmm, let's see. Where else have we seen '80s-influenced styles on the runways thus far? We caught a glimpse of the totally awesome decade with Derek Lam's rainbow of eye colors, Gwen Stefani's rocker chic looks at L.A.M.B., and we even experienced a touch of it from the twisted headbands at Charlotte Ronson.

Sometimes runway looks are really extreme, and don't always translate well into the mainstream — as evidenced by this hits and misses slideshow. Now that it is officially springtime, have you started to think about how you'll amp up your makeup bag, taking looks straight from the fashion shows as inspiration? Buh-bye to the black lip gloss trend that never really made it anyway, and hello brighter, sheerer shades.

New York Fashion Week brought a gaggle of front row sightings, a couple emerging trends, and a whole lot of sleep-deprived nights. I have a couple more trends and tricks to share with you, but while I catch up on the ZZZs, you can catch up on this week's most stylish posts.

On Friday evening, many, many designers, fashionistas, and do-gooders gathered together in New York City's Roseland Ballroom in support of trying to help end the atrocities of genocide taking place in Darfur. Since it was the finale of Fall 2007 Fashion Week, the theme of the event was a grand fashion show appropriately titled, Designers for Darfur.
The hosts of the evening were Lydia Hearst Shaw (shown) and Malcolm Harris of Mal Sirrah.
