Like many of you, I'm looking forward to hitting the road this Spring for some outdoor runs. But before you head out the door, don't forget to take safety into account. Check these items off your checklist, and you'll be good to go.

Need to Have

Your ID. Whether you slip your driver's license into your sports bra or use a running-specific alternative, like a Road ID bracelet or an in-case-of-emergency tag, make sure you carry all your vital info.
Sunscreen. Unless you're running at night, you should always protect yourself with sunscreen, even on cloudy days.
Keys. Getting locked out of your house is neither fun nor very safe.

Wedding Beauty: A Timeline for the Big Day

Well, I've told you everything you need to do to get beautiful for the big day. Now let's turn our attention to your beauty timeline on the actual day of the wedding. The most important thing is giving yourself enough time so you don't feel rushed, so follow this step-by-step guide to arranging your day. Good luck!

Wake up on the early side and immediately drink a tall glass of water. Then, do a relaxing wedding day workout that suits your routine.
When you get back around mid-morning, eat something light and high in protein.
About four to five hours in advance of your call time, take a shower. Before getting out of the shower, give yourself a cool rinse to close your pores and hair cuticles.
Next, brush your hair and tie it neatly in a bun before meeting up with your stylist.
At least three hours before your call time, have your hair styled. Allow one to two hours for the process, depending on your 'do.
When your hair is being set or right after it's styled, apply your makeup or start to have it done. Be sure and cover your face when hairspray is being applied so you don't look shiny. Allow up to one hour for your makeup.
When your makeup and hair is done, apply your perfume as a finishing touch. Then, about half an hour before your call time, get into your dress and take a deep breath.

Get Beautiful for the Big Day, Part IV: One Day to Go

Since we kicked off wedding season on the Sugar Network, I've been bringing you a multi-part guide guide to Getting Beautiful for the Big Day. Since this is Wedding Weekend week, I'll be offering advice on the last-minute details and finishing touches you should worry about right before the wedding. Now, for the final part of my series: one day to go! Good luck.

Get a manicure and pedicure.
Remember to drink lots of water so your skin is hydrated, and be sure to get get a good night's sleep.
If you are going for a tanned look, make a spa appointment for a total body exfoliation and a self tanner application. Please pay to have this done professionally; now is not the time to risk streaking or splotching.
Do something that makes you feel good. Either schedule a massage, go for a brisk walk, or take a relaxing yoga class.

Get Beautiful For The Big Day, Part III: Two More Weeks to Go

Welcome back to the third installment of Get Beautiful For the Big Day, BellaSugar's beauty checklist for brides-to-be. (For more wisdom, check out my posts on what to do six months and three months before the wedding.)

At the two week mark, the wedding is drawing near, you've chosen your hair and makeup styles, your body is toned and strong, and your teeth are bright and white. Now it's time to get buffed, trimmed, and bronzed. Just don't forget to relax, too. For a step-by-step guide to what you should do one to two weeks in advance,

Fragrance: Olfactory senses are powerful, and how you smell on your wedding day will be something very special to you. Test out all kinds of perfumes to see what makes you feel sexy and pretty.
Have your hair cut and colored with the stylist that you usually go to. Now is not the time to be taking any unnecessary risks, and two weeks will give it time to settle into looking natural.
About one week prior to the wedding, get your final facial for optimum skin luminosity. Have your face buffed and cleared of any clogged pores!
A couple of days in advance, get your eyebrows and bikini area waxed and shaped. You don't want redness, scratches, or in-growns on the big night or on the honeymoon.

Three to Four Months Before The Wedding

Teeth Whitening: Have your teeth cleaned before the big day and while you are at the dentist, now would be a great time to discuss whitening options. If you decide to whiten, you can either get trays professionally made or choose from a vast array of over the counter whitening products. Just remember, whitening is not suggested for everyone, so please speak with your dentist about the condition of your teeth.
Health: Make an appointment with your doctor to get blood tests which are often required in many states and to make sure that your health is in good condition before you wisk yourself away to an exotic island for a long honeymoon. You can also have your skin checked for any suspicious or unwanted moles or marks while you are there.

Get Beautiful For The Big Day, Part I: Six Months To Go!

Congratulations to the blushing bride! With all there is to plan and think about, you mustn't forget to take care of yourself. You will want to look and feel your very best on this special day! I have compiled a checklist with a loose time line of all things beauty so that you can prepare, schedule and prioritize everything from buffing to bronzing!

This first installment will focus on what you'll need to do to get ready six months or more before the big day. We wouldn't want to leave any stones unturned now would we? You're going to be simply gorgeous dahling!

Make-up Flip through magazines and online to find looks you like - now is the time to make as many exploratory makeup consultations as you wish. Talk about the look you desire and test out different products and colors. It is always a good idea to bring a camera with you so you can see how the look will photograph. Once you are pleased with a look, hire a professional makeup artist. Also, I suggest purchasing any products (lipstick, powder, eyeliner) that you think you will use for touch ups throughout the evening. Another tip: find a foundation that matches both your neck and face - and apply to both, I promise it will look terrific in photos.
Hair Again, flip through magazines and online to find looks you like. Play away and get a few consultations to decide on a hair look that makes you feel elegant and happy. Bring your camera to these appointments as well. Then, choose your headpiece (if you desire one) and book your hair stylist for the big day. Also, keep in mind that you may be wearing a veil for the ceremony. Lastly, make a hair appointment about two weeks before the big day for any last cuts, highlights or color.
Face Visit a dermatologist or esthetician to decide on a skin care regimen for the next few months. Also, discuss a time line for facials and any special treatments you are considering (i.e. removing sun spots, blemish scars, botox). If you are planning to get a self tanner application, now is the time to test out the colors and brands that you like.
Begin making regular manicure and pedicure appointments weekly or bi monthly if you wish to grow out your nails for the wedding. This is a great way for mini relaxation breaks. It will keep your hands soft and your cuticles, nails and toes in great shape. This is also a good time to test nail colors for the wedding.
Body Try and get into the habit of exfoliating your skin at least once a week. Also, be sure to wear sunscreen at all times and remember to moisturize!
