Christina Aguilera's style may not be conventional, but I applaud her for taking hair and makeup risks. She's a woman who steers clear of nude gloss and neutral shadows, and when it comes to lipstick shades, she goes for vivid, dramatic tones all the way. The singer, who was spotted out in LA over the weekend, opted for heavily lined eyes, voluminous curls, and a neon pink lip - a shade she's often worn in the past. But just how bold do you like to see Christina go?

Christina Aguilera has been flirting with bold red lips and can't-miss-them hot pink lips lately, but for the American Music Awards she changed things up. This dark berry lip is the focal point of her look, and she's wisely chosen to go easy on the eye makeup. She's also sporting a few snips to her bangs. Does the contrast of her corkscrew curls and newly trimmed fringe work? You be the judge.

Trend Alert: Bowl Bangs Make A Big Comeback

Three different ladies with three distinct styles come together with one big similarity – bowl bangs. As I type this, I'm getting flashbacks of hours spent trying for that perfect curl and, while it's a look I don't want to see staring back at me in the mirror, I appreciate their interpretations of the reappeared trend.Take Paris Hilton who (for once) shows the least dramatic variation. Her eyebrow-skimmers are slightly bumped under for a wispy curl, then tousled for less pronounced ends. Then there's Iman with even bangs slightly shorter than Paris'. The curl causes this face-framing cut to bring out her beautiful features – doesn't she look amazing at 53?! Lastly, we have Christina Aguilera whose style can be recreated with one hot curler. Her bang shape is distinct and it looks like her roller was tossed away minutes before the flash went off!

It's funny to think that Christina Aguilera's style was once considered shocking; these days, I'd be most stunned if she were to show up with a natural look. Lately, she's shifting from an Old Hollywood phase into a kinda mod, kinda '80s face to go along with that platinum-blonde hair.

I wouldn't be surprised if she's wearing Nars lipstick in Schiap ($24) - that bright pink shade looks like a match - but the question is, do you like her risk-taking choices?

Fragrance Review: Christina Aguilera Inspire

This isn't Christina Aguilera's first venture into the fragrance world. It isn't even her second. Aside from dabbling in the European fragrance market for the past several years, her fruity, vanilla-esque perfume aptly named, Christina Aguilera made its stateside debut last fall.

Created to inspire you to take a stance and be self-confident, Christina's newest addition - Inspire - celebrates femininity and encourages you to release your sexy side from within. Never been one to shy away from bold, adventuresome looks herself, this new fragrance is surprisingly quite mellow.

Overall, Inspire is pleasant, pretty, and classic. A fairly standard floral blend of rose and freesia provides dainty characteristics, while notes of mango and citrus give just the slightest whisper of sweetness. Sandalwood and musky notes round it out for softened edge.

The bottle and packaging is rather cool, too - influenced by the classic and modern, just like Christina herself. If you like light floral scents without too much complexity, this one's for you. Inspire is definitely wearable - just not all that distinctive.

With the numbvr of makeup artists and hairstylists clamoring to be able to say they dolled up a celebrity for the red carpet, it can be frustrating when one of them shows up looking a little underdone. That certainly isn't the case here, so I'm ready to give Christina Aguilera two thumbs up for having a dramatic look. It's clear Christina really went for it with her two-tone wild cat eye, false lashes and eye-grazing bangs. Do you like?
