I love cinnamon-sugar toast and I love smooth lips. And with Valentine's Day just around the corner, I'm taking a little inspiration from one of my favorite breakfast treats and turning it into a sweet and spicy lip scrub — minus the crispy bread, of course. Bonus?

A few weeks ago my friend decided to make hot buttered rum on a whim. None of us had ever had it, and it sounded kind of gross... yet somehow appealing.

I love these Autumn-inspired ingredients that will have you feeling all toasty inside. I've already got you covered on apple, cranberry, and pumpkin, so let's move on to a crowd favorite, cinnamon.
This spicy ingredient, obtained from the bark of certain evergreen trees, helps reduce oil production in skin, and both warms and invigorates.

Welcome to my third installation of Valentine's Day beauty products. Not only is it important to have the perfect pout and sultry bedroom eyes on February 14th, but it's also important to smell good. According to research, men associate the smell of vanilla and cinnamon with love.

The new Curb the Urges lip collection from Joey New York Speciality has me completely floored. Kinda like the nutritious lip glosses I told you about last week — except cooler — this line of lippies is designed to help you kiss your bad habits goodbye.
Using aromachology, which involves the effect of fragrances on the mind, each of the three lines are designed to battle a different bad habit:
- LipNIX claims to help you quit smoking.
- LipFIT is designed to curb your appetite.
- CinnaMEN is supposed to help you attract the opposite sex.
All three collections include lip gloss ($15), lipstick ($18), a lip palette ($25), and a colorless lip balm ($12).

This post comes to us from the Natural Beauties group, where member Baigneuse published an awesome DIY recipe.
While olive oil and honey have been used in natural beauty concoctions throughout history, it seems as though they've just recently received the spotlight that they deserve. Honey, a natural antioxidant known for reducing inflammation, is antibacterial and antifungal, making it great for acne-prone skin, and due to its ability to stimulate cytokine production it is also capable of speeding up the healing process. It's great for lightening scarring and, as a natural humectant, attracting water to the skin, leaving it hydrated and soft. Olive oil is rich in polyphenols and hydroxytrosol, one of nature's most powerful antioxidants, which strengthens the skin's immune system and protects it from oxidation. Hydroxytrosol also slows aging by stabilizing the cell plasma membrane. Olive oil is rich in oleic acid and is a natural emollient and excellent moisturizer.
While you may already know the amazing benefits that these ingredients have in masks, cleansers, and moisturizers, you should also be aware that they can make one banging body scrub. Get silky smooth skin this Valentine's Day by using the following recipe one day prior to the big event (and as always, perform a patch test first). To find out more, keep reading.

I promised to post the results of my experiments with using cherries as cheek and lip stain this week, so here they are. I literally just walked around rubbing some bing cherry halves on my face, much to Mr. Bella's bemusement. The results were pretty great, and the rest of the bag of cherries was delicious (om nom nom nom).

Jennifer Lopez provided lots of shock value donning that skintight sparkly bodysuit during her New Year's Eve performance on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. Yesterday, she dazzled once again — but this time, it was in a more subtle way. At the Miami Dolphins game, Jennifer wore a classic, simple bun to complement her neutral makeup.

I wouldn't be surprised if comic books' fiercest superheroines all loved perfume. After all, those nylon Spanx and pleather boots get sweaty fast, and we all know how important it is to smell good while you're battling evil for dominion over the astral plane. Mostly, though, it seems like the inspiration for their secret identity-disguising superhero names frequently comes right off the beauty aisle, with names like Rogue, Dark Star, Cinnamon, and Blink.
