Ready For a 3-D Rock 'n' Roll Musical Version of Cleopatra?

Yes, let's review those facts:

Director Steven Soderbergh is planning a movie about Egyptian queen Cleopatra.
It will be a live-action 3-D movie.
It will also be a rock 'n' roll musical.
Soderbergh is hoping to get Catherine Zeta-Jones to play "Cleo" and Hugh Jackman to play her lover, Marc Antony.

After the initial "whaaa?" reaction, I'm warming to this idea, especially because the band Guided by Voices has apparently already written the music for the movie. What do you think? Could you see this working, or does it sound like a big hot mess?

David Schwimmer and Wife Zoe Buckman Take Baby Cleo on Her First Summer Vacation

David Schwimmer and wife Zoe Buckman arrived at NYC's JFK airport yesterday with their 3-month-old daughter, Cleo. The trio made their way inside the international terminal, equipped with all their baby gear, ready to catch a flight headed out of town. While many of David's former Friends costars have been actively traveling around the globe, it's been a relatively low-key Summer for David and family since Cleo's birth in May. When we spoke with the dad-to-be in March, David wasn't sure if he was expecting a son or daughter, but he was excited about meeting the little one. David's taking a break from directing, but he's among the all-star list of celebrities lending their voices to Madagascar 3, due out next Summer. It's his third go-round as Melman, the big-hearted giraffe, and he has a brand-new fan in daughter Cleo.

Orlando Bloom tweeted a photo of Miranda Kerr breastfeeding newborn Flynn, David Schwimmer revealed his baby daughter Cleo online, and Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy also logged on to Twitter to give us a peek at baby Bing. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's twins Morocco and Monroe made a big TV debut with a cute appearance on 20/20, Jessica Alba showed off her daughter Haven in the pages of OK!, and Christina Applegate gave People the first photos of her daughter, Sadie. Miranda Kerr Models Her "Curvaceous" Body in a Tiny Bikini

Miranda Kerr slipped into a printed bikini for the cover of Cleo's November issue. She showed off her sexy supermodel body again when she posed in another two-piece inside the Australian magazine. Miranda talked to the publication about how her figure has changed since giving birth to Flynn, saying, "I’m a little more curvaceous now, which I really love. I think it’s great to embrace these curves and work with them."

Her figure was also on display during an appearance for Victoria's Secret this week in NYC, where she presented the brand's $2.5 million diamond-studded bra. She'll wear the 142 carat Secret Fantasy Treasure Bra during the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which will be taped early next month and air on Nov. 29.

Adorable Flynn Bloom Keeps Miranda and Orlando Very Entertained

Miranda Kerr beamed at her son Flynn as the cute twosome left a photo shoot in New York City yesterday. A wide-eyed Flynn giggled and played with Miranda's sunglasses during the outing. Later in the day Miranda joined their third partner in crime, husband and dad Orlando Bloom, for a walk around their neighborhood. The Kerr-Bloom family is in the Big Apple while Miranda prepares to don the $2.5 million Fantasy Treasure bra in the upcoming Victoria's Secret fashion show. Kanye West and Maroon 5 will be among the performers at the star-studded runway presentation, and Orlando will, hopefully, have his camera ready front and center to cheer his wife on.

Miranda recently modeled a bikini for a cover story in Australian magazine Cleo, and she revealed that she loves her more "curvaceous" body since giving birth to Flynn. While doing press for The Three Musketeers Orlando also spoke about his own transformation since becoming a father. Unfortunately, that film had a rough opening weekend at the box office stateside, though perhaps it will find more traction with an international audience.

What Are the Hottest New Restaurants in Your Town?

Around 42,000 new restaurants open each year, and Spring seems to be award season for the ones that experience immediate success. This week, online reservations site OpenTable released a list of the nation's 10 hottest new restaurants, and they include everything from Stephanie Izard's Girl & the Goat in Chicago to Cleo in Los Angeles.

I was surprised to discover that no Bay Area establishments hit the top 10, despite OpenTable's strong San Francisco base. Still, it was fun to review it, then create my own mental list of the city's buzzed-about new restaurants. What, in your opinion, have been the most exciting openings in your town?
