Contour Cases Make Silicone and Plastic Appealing

When I wasn't checking out the new Apple goods at Macworld, I had my eye out for new accessories; mainly, I'm eager to see what new spin on iPhone cases there are. The Contour Cases' booth managed to change my mind a little about silicone cases by showing off bright colors and slimmer profiles.

It seems like the vast majority of iPhone and iPod Touch cases are silicone right now, and knowing its durability, it's no shocker, but I hate putting my hand in my bag and touching something that feels like a tire tread.

Contour's cases fit a little close to the device, felt great in my hand, and the color family (lots of greens, blues, and blacks) is modern and cool. Likewise, the hard plastic cases didn't feel like they'd shatter if you dropped them on the asphalt.

Some of the shown styles are on their website already, but I'm looking forward to new cases being added soon.

Beauty How To: Create Fabulous Cheek Contours

If only we could all be born with naturally high and defined cheek bones. Most of us, however, need a little help to get the perfect contour and shape. Here's how to create this Hollywood-worthy look in three easy steps.

First, apply a foundation that's one or two shades darker than your skin tone to the area of your cheeks that hollows out when you pucker up. Blend well, so that there's no line. I recommend MAC Cosmetics Hooked Bronzing Powder, $19.50.
Next, use a peachy apricot or a brown-based blush on the apples of your cheeks and be sure to blend well. I really like Nars Blush, $25, in Gina for medium skin tones or Orgasm for fairer skin.
Lastly, shine and define. Use a light golden or shimmery yellowish powder on the area right above your cheekbones. One swipe with the brush should be enough for a glowing accent. I recommend Diane Von Furstenberg Eclipse Highlighting Powder in Sunshine, $30.

Yigal Azrouël designed his Fall '12 collection for a woman who is "fearless in her outlook and quiet in her confidence." Drawing from the spirit of Françoise Hardy, Yigal sent sophisticated, ladylike looks with an exotic twist down the runway. Mom-to-be Beyoncé Knowles sat down with Katie Couric on the most recent episode of 20/20 to talk about her latest career ventures and excitement surrounding her pregnancy. Beyoncé, who is known for her glowy skin, looked as stunning as ever. And it's thanks in part to makeup artist Mally Roncal, who created the luminous palette for the multitalented star. To get the look:

Use concealer to brighten under the eyes and around any areas that need extra help.
Use a highlighter and contour powder: the highlighter lifts the face and illuminates the eye area, and the contour powder slims the face.
For the eyes, Roncal used the creamy, shimmery shadow from her Mally Beauty My Favorite Things Collection ($60), available starting this Friday on QVC. She then followed with a smudgeproof eyeliner and volumizing mascara.
