Even if you’re not typically a coral kind of gal, trust me when I say that you’ll love the way they look with a little bit of mascara and some bronzer in the summertime. Coral has that je ne sais quoi to make tanned skin look all the more radiant. Below are my favorite coral lipsticks, They are a little deeper than peach lipgloss without being overly orange. Do you prefer one lipstick color over another in certain seasons?

Stila Lip Color in Miranda ($17) is a shiny, creamy and super-sheer everyday coral lipstick. Last year, it was so popular that it was honored as one of In Style's Best of Beauty Buys. It's a good choice if you want to ease into the color trend.
Chantecaille Lip Chic in Geranium ($30) is a sheer, rich nudey-coral. This creamy formula stays moist for hours and looks great worn alone or with a sheer gloss on top.
I've already told you how gorgeous the new, creamy Diane Von Furstenberg Volcano Lipstick ($18) is. This golden, pale coral-peach shade looks killer paired with black mascara and bronzer.

Although Diane Von Furstenberg has discontinued her makeup line (let's all take a moment to mourn the loss of her awesome pink glosses), she can't let her love of makeup fade. So, each season she has decided to release one signature lipstick to complement her collection. Summer's choice will appeal to girls who were born to love volcanoes.

Volcano ($18) is an explosive shade of shimmery, pale coral. The texture is creamy and the color could also be categorized as a peachy-nude that enhances your natural lip. It is intended for all skin tones and looks great with strong brown and flushed cheeks.

The inspiration for her Summer 2008 collection and lipstick came from the lush and bright flowers that landscape the countryside of Bali. We here at Sugar HQ have decided that Eva Mendes never looks anything but absolutely beautiful. At a recent Calvin Klein event in Milan, Eva proved that the rules are meant to be broken. While her skin and hair coloring are more in the warm-toned family, the actress still managed to pull off a traditionally cooler-toned hot pink lip that had just the slightest glimpse of a coral undertone. Call it a bright poppy shade of sorts. What I like most about this look is that it's decidedly not a just-stepped-out-of-the-mall circa 1984 kind of effect. It's fresh, alluring, and very flirtatious.

Steal Thandie Newton's Pretty Red Lipstick Look

Thandie Newton never fails to look gorgeous on the red carpet, and last night was no exception. Her look at the 2012 premiere was incredibly simple and easy but with tons of impact. On her eyes, she paired a thin line of pewter eyeliner with a taupe eye shadow brushed from lash line to brow bone. Then, she dusted a sheer wash of coral blush from the outer apples of her cheeks up to her temples, and finished up with a bright red lipstick with complementary orange undertones. Michael Kors Makes a Very Hollywood Cosmetics Line

Designer and Project Runway judge Michael Kors is getting pretty with a new color cosmetics collection that's due in January. The makeup line, which was created in collaboration with Estée Lauder, is part of the Very Hollywood brand and is designed to be the makeup equivalent of Michael's recently released perfume. The collection comes in two palettes, a pink and a beige-coral, with complementary blushes, sheer lip "sheens," and eyeshadow kits for each. I liked Very Hollywood perfume well enough, and this collection, given the bright colors and sheer tints, seems to be marketed toward a younger audience than Michael's usual fare, but I just don't know whether I need a Michael Kors pink blush when there are already a million gorgeous shades out there. What do you think? Are you excited for this designer beauty debut, or just kind of meh?
