Cult Favorite: Nars Blush in Orgasm

Since this week is super blush-centric, I thought I'd pay tribute to the queen of all blushers: Nars Cosmetics Blush in Orgasm ($25). When it first launched, girls giggled then oohed and aahed over the sexy name. In time, product sales shot to the moon and the lengthy wait lists became no laughing matter - attaining Orgasm was nearly impossible! Luckily, production came through and now there's enough Orgasm to go around.

This blush has the largest following I have ever seen. It's a shimmery pinky-peach shade, typically reserved for those with olive skin tones. However, this particular color has a special je ne sais quoi that makes it universally flattering.

What We're Sweet On: A Brush For the Blemished

Countless praises have been sung for Clarisonic, the cult-favorite sonic skin cleansing brush. But until now, the acne-addled haven't had a version that targets their complexion condition. Enter the newest incarnation of the Mia 2 brush and salicylic acid-infused cleanser ($169), which aims to keep blemishes at bay. We gave the brush a spin (courtesy of public relations), and like the original, it removes the dirt and makeup that doesn't always come off through washing by hands alone. The new brush head ($25) is softer than the original, though, and it's especially gentle for anyone who's experiencing stubborn blackheads or painful nodules. While no product will produce flawless skin overnight, with consistent use, having clearer skin may only be a matter of time.

Gossip Girl Will Get a Sixth and Final Season

Perk up those ears, fans of the Upper East Siders: Gossip Girl will live to see another season. The CW has renewed the cult favorite for a final season, which will last just 11 episodes (which is half a standard season). I've followed the series from its inception, and I think this is definitely the best way to see it go down - it will get a proper ending, but we won't have to see another fully dragged-out season. Besides, all we really want to know is whether Blair will end up with Chuck or Dan, am I right?

Fun fact: the title of the movie itself (probably the most recited line from the film) was grabbed from a scene in cult hit The Big Lebowski, so it was probably destined for quotability from the start. The beauty entrepreneur even recruited some of her model pals, Petra Nemcova (pictured right) and Angela Lindvall, to design the limited-edition bottles ($52 each) for the line's Model Citizen campaign. Available at Sephora, through QVC, or on Josie's site from now to mid-Summer, 10 percent of the profits from the sale of the oils will benefit the Happy Hearts Fund (through Petra's design), Healthy Child Healthy World (through Angela), and Women For Women International (through Josie).

Additionally, Josie and Petra are sharing their tips for going "chicological" (that's chic, high-performing, and ecological) with us. There may be no wacky camp comedy in history as quotable as the cult classic Wet Hot American Summer (until the forthcoming Wet Hot sequel, that is). We are often caught scribbling Gene's inappropriate food-based musings in our gournals as we try to remember if the reunion is at 9:00 or 9:30 (we hope it's 9:00 because we have something at 11:00.) Rachel Comey Fall 2012

Rachel Comey showed us her sophisticated side for Fall '12, streamlining her usual quirk factor with a modern, refreshing twist. "Normally for Fall we dive into print and pattern and color," said Comey. "This time, I pulled all of that out and cleared the air." With that in mind, the designer showcased laser-cut cotton dresses and wool felt tops, digital-print knee-length skirts, pretty prints, and shiny boxy leather tops. Color pops included an oversized bright orange coat and dress and even a heart-print dress doused in hot pink. Comey's shoes, a cult favorite amongst many, included quirky-cool black-and-white cap-toe loafers, flatforms, and chunky ankle boots. To finish, Comey closed out the show with an array of cocktail-appropriate black dresses, ranging from a simple, slinky halter-neck LBD to a shimmering full-skirted version.
