These shaving creams worked for my dad, and they still work for me. When I began shaving in my early teens, I used these with a single blade razor. Nowadays, I use a four-blade razor for sensitive skin, and these creams work even better without breaking the bank.

Wow, this is a very exciting development in tweezers. The latest product from Seki Edge — a Japanese brand with a legacy involving samurai swords — this round-tipped Bikini Tweezer ($12) is right up my alley. Though it goes against a cardinal rule of skin care, I am totally guilty of picking and probing at anything ingrown.

Last night at the Nomads Two Worlds Art Preview in Melbourne, Fergie arrived with hair that looked like a piece of sculpture, with a big, curled forelock and a couple of minibuns, as well as what I can only assume are extensions in a fall down her back. Fergie is a beautiful woman, obviously, and she's never afraid to go bleeding-edge cool, but what do you think? Is this look experimental, runway haute, or is it just too much thrown together?

Though Zoe Saldana made a gorgeous Uhura in the latest Star Trek retread, there's really no replacing the original. Not only is Nichelle Nichols stunning, but her role was a huge barrier-breaker for African-American actresses, and she totally hooked it up with Captain Kirk (under alien mind control, of course). Her look never ceases to be foxy, either, and it's as perfect for Fall 2009 as it was for 1967 — in fact, designers stole a lot of this look for their collections this season.
