Braids are looking mighty fresh these days. There's always the Lauren Conrad-esque way of wearing delicate braids pinned back at the sides and recently, we spotted Jessica Simpson, Drew Barrymore, and Nicole Richie rocking the chunky side-braid. And now, I've got some more braided looks for you.

First it's purple hair and now I'm talking purple eyes. Purple is one of those versatile shades that can be bright, playful, sultry, and subtle, depending on the finish and depth of color. Purple also makes green eyes pop, brown eyes brighter, and gives blue eyes a cool iciness.

Emmy Rossum may have the rosiest cheeks at the Costume Institute Gala, with lips to match. She's one of the few guests to wear her hair down so far, so it's nice to see a change of pace. Think it all works for her?

In case you're wondering how the young trendsetters in Hollywood are wearing their hair, look no further. Long bangs with layers in the front styled in a partly straight, partly casual beachy wave are very SoCal right now. This proved to be the most popular style at the LG Launch of the Scarlet HD TV Series Party.

Emmy Rossum always looks so understated and feminine, and she was especially glowing at the Whitney Contemporaries Art Party Benefit last night (at left). I really like the balance of her soft waves and light makeup here. Which pink shade do you prefer?

It's nice to see that the stars arrived to the Teen Choice Awards without tons of makeup or crazy hair. Actually, they dressed appropriately for their young (and influential) audience. I especially like this flowy tendril look that Olesya Rulin, Emmy Rossum and Miley Cirus wore—it totally reminds me of prom!
