As the enfant terrible of the styling world, Charlie Le Mindu is known for his hair-raising creations. For his second runway show, held during London Fashion Week, he displayed a stunning and strange mix of hair sculptures. They're made from wigs, and they must be seen to be believed.

We're into full-blown Fashion Week season, with lots of looks from New York, London, and Paris. This model walked in the Viktor & Rolf show in Paris, and I was struck by her babydoll makeup and wildly wavy hair. It's clearly done to create a high-fashion effect, and it gives me ideas for creating a more toned-down version of the look.

Last night, Fab and I were transported to the Tropics—if only mentally—at the Mara Hoffman show. While Fab chatted with the designer herself, I trotted backstage to chat with the hair and makeup teams. (Yep, that's the actual backstage area!)
While watching the models get done up, I chatted with hair stylist Sandra Yu.

As you'd expect, Fab and I will be covering New York Fashion Week soon. But if you just can't wait until then, you've got to check out these backstage photos I took at San Francisco Fashion Week last night. Inside the small, cramped tents, the energy was exciting and frenetic.

It's 2010 Spring Fashion Week, and one of the first designers to show her collection was L.A.M.B.'s Gwen Stefani. For her show, the models wore MAC makeup on their faces, Vaseline's soon-to-be-released Sheer Infusion Body Lotion ($6.25 to $9) on their skin, and a trendy, opaque white shade of nail polish from Dashing Diva called NYC Fleet Week ($8). Lucky for us, Pop caught up with Gwen in NYC and asked her about her popular Harajuku Lovers line, for which Snow Bunnies ($30) just launched.

You can't get anymore classic than your basic ponytail. It's an easy way to add a little flair to any style; and at Christian Siriano's show at 2010 New York Fashion Week, the designer worked with Aveda's Antoinette Beenders to create a ponytail with a little something extra. When it comes to Christian and hair, would you expect anything less?

It was the final day of Fashion Week, and while I'm sad to see it go, I'm excited to discover how many of these hair and makeup looks will make the transition into the mainstream. These final two days were absolutely lovely, with more old-guard designers like Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, and Oscar De La Renta injecting an elegance that nicely hedged the experimental looks from younger designers. Click through and see what some of the most established houses, along with some of the hottest new ones, had to offer.

Not only have we spotted minimal makeup this 2010 Spring Fashion Week, we're also seeing lots of pale nails. At Marc Jacobs's show, the theatrical makeup look, which was created by NARS and inspired by dancer Martha Graham, had a gothic, mysterious quality. As for the nails, Jacobs hand-picked four shades of OPI polishes to complement the whimsical, nude-toned clothing we saw on the runway.
