At Sephora, I happened upon this Frederic Fekkai Golden Shimmer Gelée Mist ($20) which has "micro-diamond particles that impart subtle luminosity and glamour for all of your holiday festivities." All I could think was, "The holidays, they are upon us!" But then I realized, "Hey, we're barely out of October." I know that holiday shopping starts in August at a lot of retailers these days, but I'm always a little surprised when all the Egg Nog, Mistletoe Sparkle, and other holiday products show up on shelves. The new products are always fun, and it's exciting to see them come out, but sometimes I wish for just a little more time to enjoy my Fall colors before we plunge headlong into the poinsettia and spruce palette that winds up the year. A couple weeks ago, I got all excited about this hair refresher, Frédéric Fekkai Summer Hair Wash and Wear. Now, the hairstyling mastermind has unleashed two more products from his Summer Hair collection, which launched last year in a burst of sunny orange packaging.

How-To: Kate Winslet's Hair at the 2009 Oscars

Whether you loved it or hated it, Kate Winslet’s hair at the Oscars last night was like a work of art. Seriously, get a load of the texture, waves, and flawless finish. Would you like to learn how to get the now Oscar-winning actress's modern-day Grace Kelly style? You’re in luck. I’ve got the instructions directly from the stylist, Renato Campora of Frederic Fekkai below. And if you like Kate's makeup, too, here's the how-to so that you can get the complete Oscar-winning ensemble.

First, apply Fekkai More All-Day Density Styling Whip ($25) on wet hair.
Then, blow-dry the hair until smooth, using the Fekkai Extra-Large Round Brush ($65) to create volume.
Next, curl hair with a one-inch curling iron, and let set for about 20 minutes.
Brush through the style, and use Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Creme ($23) on the ends to help roll the hair under.
Finish with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray ($23).

Bella Interview: Johnny Wright, Hairstylist

Get ready to know the name Johnny Wright. A stylist at Frederic Fekkai, he's worked with famous beauties such as Anita Baker, Vivica A. Fox, Vanessa Williams, Selita Ebanks - and one very high-profile client, Michelle Obama. I'll share some of his easy hair tips later this week, but for now, read on to find out what's behind Michelle's style.

How did you start working with Michelle Obama?
It kind of happened on a whim, and I’ve been doing her hair now for a year. My agent out in New York booked me for her Ebony magazine shoot, and she liked it so much that she had her people book me. I actually just got a call today from her saying I’m booked with her for August a whole week - I’m going to do her hair in Denver.

Denver! Denver is important.
You know, I was very nervous with that particular booking. I was highly screened before I was even allowed to walk into her room - and I totally understand that. Whatever it took for me to be booked with her, she is a very normal person. She has two young children, and I think that her staying normal keeps them normal too. It’s just great working with her. She’s never picky; she never asks me for things I probably can’t do. She’s very understanding.

I met Senator Obama a few years ago and he was down-to-earth as well.
You know, I’ve been doing hair since I was 12 years old and I never thought that I would be in that type of world. Before this, I didn’t do anything about politics. I look at it as a blessing, because I pay attention much more now. I feel like I’m much more educated on how things go just from being with her and following the campaign.

Do you have any tips for recreating her signature hairstyle at home?
It’s pretty simple. The foundation of any hairstyle is the cut. That’s one thing we focus on doing very well here at Fekkai. With that, I am able to switch the hair into like maybe two, three different looks. We try not to give her too many different variations. People want to see her with the same style, especially when it comes to politics; there’s a lot of scrutiny when you’re in that arena.

I say go back to basics and just keep it simple. Sometimes I flat-iron her hair under, or I use a ceramic curling iron to flip it out at the ends a little bit. With a flat iron she’s going to be able to lock the moisture in the hair. Because she has to get her hair done so often, the flat iron is probably the best tool for her. For an updo, I might do some cascading curls according to how formal the event she’s attending is, but mostly I give her a clean sweep up.

Also, to keep her hair moisturized, I use the Shea Butter conditioner from Fekkai and Glossing Cream. It really keeps the hair moisturized. And Fekkai Coiff Anti-Frizz creme is excellent for that. It's probably one of my favorite products.

Remington's Airwave Dryer Creates Beachy Waves

Whenever I think long hairstyles, TeamSugar is one of my favorite go-to gals. Remember her Angelina Jolie-esque bun? This time, TeamSugar volunteered to try out the Remington Emi Airwave Anti-Static Style System ($25), an ionic blow dryer that uses a nifty little attachment to create beachy waves. It sort of reminds me of the twirling action of a vacuum cleaner, without the scary factor.

After giving the Airwave a whirl, our lovely model was pleased with the results. The attachment helped her to create non-pouffy ringlets on her naturally curly locks; She even preferred the contraption over a diffuser. Since this dryer was easy to use, didn't take long to dry her long hair, and reduced static overall, it gets her seal of approval. Step 1: Comb Jonathan Product Condition Leave-in Gloss Creme ($22) through the hair. Using fingers, spread evenly.
Step 2: Twist a section of your hair and place in the blow dryer attachment. Blow-dry until semi-dry (dries better when partially damp to avoid the frizzy look). Continue to twist and dry until you’ve done your entire head of hair, leaving the crown to dry naturally.
Step 3: Spray Frederic Fekkai Luscious Curls Wave Creating Spray ($20) lightly over entire hair. Separate the curls/waves with your fingers to break up the style.
Step 4: Go over any areas that need more waves. "Your hair will fall nicely with a 'just got off the beach and looking glamorous' look the entire day," she said. Woot woo! (That's my attempt at a whistle.)

How-To: Jennifer Garner's Oscars Hair

Jennifer Garner strutted the red carpet last night in a sophisticated and loose sideswept hairstyle, balanced out by a sexy, smoky eye and luxe jewelry. Her hair stylist for the evening, Adir Abergel for Frederic Fekkai, gave me the scoop on how he achieved this look for the big night.

"The inspiration came to me when I first saw the dress on her, during her fitting with Rachel Zoe," he explained. "The dress had a very similar vibe to the hair that we ended up doing: a clean, chic, heavy side-parted bang, with a romantic knotted low twist in the back. Jennifer loved the idea and we ran with it. I knew that she wanted it up, and the rest was a fun collaborative team effort."

Step 1: On wet hair, work a styling product from root to tip to help give hair texture. Adir used Fekkai Coiff Shape and Set Mist.
Step 2: Part hair three-quarters of the way on one side, up from the outer corner of your eye. Blow-dry small sections at a time with a round brush and pin back each one as you go along. Adir let Jennifer's hair set for about 10 minutes.
Step 3: Using a 1-inch curling iron, curl the entire head of hair and allow to cool, then finish with a misting of Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.
Step 4: Leaving the severe side bang out, gather the rest of the hair at the nape of the neck. Wrap it into a loose bun and pin in place. Pull out a few more strands around either side of the face.

How-To: Marion Cotillard's Oscars Hair

The belle Marion Cotillard is sitting pretty right now. Her Oscar win means that we'll be seeing a lot more of this Gallic gal, and considering that she's as stylish as she is talented, that's a good thing for all of us. Last night, she looked softly stunning; I especially loved how her soft, flowing curls framed her face. Stylist Robert Vetica for Frederic Fekkai gave me the scoop on how he created this look.

"Marion changes her look a lot simply because I think she can," he said of his inspiration. "Her beauty lies in the spirit with which she carries herself. You look at her and want to get to know her." For this award-worthy style, he gave Marion a modern take on Veronica Lake's iconic waves. For his tips on recreating the look at home, read more

Step one: First, apply a protective styling serum or spray to give hair shine and hold; Robert used Fekkai Coiff Shape and Set Mist ($28) on Marion.

Step two: Blow-dry hair smooth in the desired direction. In Marion's case, Robert gave her a deep left part. The left side was blown away from her face and from that same part, it was dried side to front on the right side.

Step three: Take a 3/4-inch barrel curling iron, and create sections around the perimeter of the head at the neck. Start curling on the left, behind the ear, working around the back.

Step four: When you get to the front, curl the hair front and sideways towards the back. Robert's tip: "To really achieve this loose wave, curl big sections." Finish with hairspray; Robert used Fekkai Coiff Fini Sheer Hold ($23) on Marion's hair.
