Fab Flash: Girls Gone Wild Gear

It has been reported that "Girls Gone Wild" is launching an apparel line with a cheeky tag that reads: "When Clothing Isn't Optional!"

Joe Francis, founder, at the age of 23, of the ten year old business called Girls Gone Wild believes that his new line of apparel will be worth anywhere from $40 - $60 million within the next two years. His empire is currently worth approximately $100 million.

The clothing consists of two sportswear lines called: angel and beach, a swimsuit collection designed by Ashley Paige, and a super sexy intimates collection. The hemlines are short and the bikinis are skimpy - this is a line for a girl who's not shy.

Lindsay Lohan has already been spied wearing GGW Apparel, and Paris Hilton and Kimberly Stewart, will be the line's first celebrity guest designers. To see more images and to read more about what Francis has to say about his new line, read more

"There's a little 'Girls Gone Wild' in every girl. That's what I want to bring out, but without being cheesy. The direction of the line is important to me, it's not what you'd expect. There is a lot that is more subtly branded Girls Gone Wild product. Whether you want a little Girls Gone Wild in the logo on your underwear or a little Girls Gone Wild logo on your sweatpants, you can find that in this line."

Makeup: The Best of the Brightest Brands

I had dinner with my successful, globe-trotting artist friend last night, and all she wanted to talk about was makeup. She has beautiful, medium-toned skin (she's Turkish) and blue-green hair (yeah!). There are certain brands that just plain don't show up on her, and others that just don't pack the pigment punch someone who is used to acrylic paint and grease pencil desires. I recommended Ben Nye, an insider-y line founded by the makeup artist behind Gone With the Wind and Planet of the Apes, and that she swing by Madina Milano on her next trip abroad.

Ben Nye - This brand of real-deal stage makeup has applications for both Halloween and Fashion Week (it makes more appearances backstage than Robert Verdi).
Cover Girl - This season, makeup artist Pat McGrath created a slew of bold, look-at-me eye shadows that don't cost an arm and a leg.
Face Stockholm - Yellow lipstick? Check. Neon green loose glitter? Check. This is a good place to look for shades other brands only carry for a season.
Hard Candy - Founded by Iranian sisters Dineh and Pooneh Mohajer in 1995, Hard Candy climbed to fame after a Clueless-era Alicia Silverstone namechecked it on Letterman. Despite corporate ownership, the line keeps its signature pastels and metallics.
MAC - A makeup artist standard, MAC maintains a rainbow of shades while coming out with inventive new combinations.
Make Up For Ever - Founded in 1984 in France, Make Up For Ever has 1,400 products, including some for special effects and body painting.
Mattese (at Ricky's stores) - This line is hard to find online, but Mattese (sold at Ricky's, a New York City chain) makes many highly pigmented powders and bright lipsticks.
NARS - Renowned for its Artist Palettes, creative names, and cool colors, NARS is a worthy stop on your search for saffron shadow.
Sebastian-Trucco - This small collection offered by Sebastian International (random, I know) changes every season, but has in the past included wild shades and giant glitter flakes.
Sephora - Sephora's house brand offers some of the largest palettes we've ever seen. Not surprisingly, my friend owns this one!
Smashbox - This brand is more worth noting for its inventive products like high-tech primers and intuitive lip gloss than its color choices, making it a go-to if you need help increasing the brightness and/or staying power of your pink mascara.
Shu Uemura - From clowny faux lashes to lipsticks with something called "Spectral Booster," this line will indulge your inner artiste.
Urban Decay - Edgy Urban Decay usually has colored mascara. Bonus points for advanced use of glitter.
Wet n Wild - A great place to start if you're not ready to commit to blue eyeliner; most Wet n Wild items are still a buck or two.

Love It or Hate It? Being Charitable With Tara Reid

Whoa! Wild child Tara Reid is looking mighty different from the hard-partying girl we saw just a few months ago. Gone are the ratty extensions and sleepy eyes; instead, we're seeing Tara look like the perky SoCal blonde we met in American Pie. I love seeing her so happy and glowing at the Race to Erase MS, and I'm hoping it's a great start to a healthier, more put-together Tara. What do you think of this look on her?

Model of the Week: Caroline D'Amore

Welcome back to Model of the Week. This week's magnificent model is Malibu native Caroline D'Amore. As a young girl, D'Amore studied ballet and jazz, and she credits dancing with giving her the confidence to start modeling. By age 12, D'Amore had fallen in love with being on stage, but her family wanted to protect her from "the biz" until she was older. At age 17, D'Amore moved to the Big Apple to begin modeling.

You might recognize her from photos in Teen Vogue, Seventeen, Cosmo Girl, Flaunt, Nylon, and Paper. Caroline has also ruled many a catwalk, including those of Stella McCartney, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Agent Provocateur. When she's not modeling, you can find her on hikes, at the beach, or in a DJ booth spinning records. D'Amore also appears in the indie movie “Daydreamer."

BELLA: What is your secret to beautiful skin and hair?

CD: My secret to beautiful hair is that I never dye it, and whenever I'm not working, I try not to use any heated styling tools on it. The more breaks I can give my hair, the better. I also trim the ends frequently, and I only wash it every other day so that natural oils can work their magic.

As far as my secret to great skin, I feel that less if more! I try not to use too many different products, and I religiously wash my face before I go to bed. Falling asleep with makeup on is a major no-no. Anytime that I’ve accidentally gone to bed with out washing my face I’ve almost always woken up with a lovely pimple.

BELLA: What is the one product that you can't live without?

CD: The product that I can't live with out is Bumble and Bumble Sea Spray for my hair. I grew up a beach girl, and I can't give up the beachy waves in my hair.

BELLA: What is your guilty pleasure?

CD: My guilty pleasure is an hour-long bubble bath with bath salts, music, and a trashy magazine. Mmm!

BELLA: What is your favorite drugstore product?

CD: My favorite drugstore products are Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion, Cetaphil Face Wash, and Wet n’ Wild Crystal Clear Lip Gloss.

BELLA: Happiness is ...

CD: A new pair of comfy stylish flats. I hate wearing high heels, and I usually only wear them for work. I just love finding high-fashion sexy flats that I can wear during the day or in the evening.

Imari Seduction Is As Dreamy As Its Spokesperson

We first heard buzz about the Jennifer Hudson fragrance, Imari Seduction, back in March and now it's almost here! Jennifer was asked by Avon to be the spokesperson for this new scent soon after her Oscar win for Dreamgirls.

As harsh as this may sound, I guess her 15 minutes of fame is lasting a lot longer than predicted. This girl's got star quality written all over her. Seems to me like she's gone from 0 to 60 in no time!

I haven't sampled the fragrance yet, but from what I gather, it's a hearty mix of flowers and woods with a little touch of sweetness in the top notes. It has notes of crimson rose, purple orchid, patchouli, wild berries, plum, sandalwood, amber, musk and vanilla bean. Get excited, the launch is set for August-only a couple of days away. Imari Seduction will be available in a 1.7 oz bottle for $22.50.
