The new issue of Glamour has a lovely photo shoot with Nicole Richie, but what really caught my eye was a quote from Nicole: "The best tip I ever got from a hair pro was to curl my hair with a flat iron." Say what? On second thought, I felt like I may have witnessed this backstage during Fashion Week, but not in the hands of a mere hair novice like myself.

If you go to the mall, chances are you've seen Glamour Shots. The photo studio seems to have toned down the cheese factor in the last few years—a glance at its website reveals no sign of feathered boas or cuddly-wuddly teddy bears. That's progress!

Ok, not to be too hyperbolic or anything, but this has got to be one of the cutest damn things I've ever seen. Don't let the name fool you: the Urban Decay Swiss Glamour Camping Kit ($299) would be completely impractical for camping or for serving in the Swiss Army, but I'm too bowled over by its cuteness to care.
Actually, Urban Decay is adorably tongue-in-cheek in describing this travel kit, which was created though a partnership with Paul Frank: "when you’re camping in the Swiss Alps (because so many of us often do), it’s handy to have all your necessities in one place.

When you're raised around the family business, it only makes sense that you'd follow suit. And for Cristina Samuels and Jennifer Isaac, doing so has been a beautiful endeavor. From the time they were girls, they learned by watching their father, a cosmetic-industry veteran.
