In my experience, the majority of brides see their honeymoons as a chance to unwind and relax with the new hubby. Some prefer a tropical and remote destination where there's not much to do besides soak up the sun and smile. (I think we all know what "smile" is code for.) Others prefer to engage in various activities outside of the bedroom.

However, I'm hard-pressed to find a bride that didn't need a little bit of de-stressing after the big day. On your honeymoon, would you treat yourself to a spa treatment - or even get your husband in on a couple's massage?

One day a while back, I woke up early and go ready while Mr. Bella was still sleeping. By the time the alarm went off, I had finished applying my makeup, and I'd taken a little more time than usual. "You're so pretty," said Mr. Bella. "I love the fact that you don't wear a lot of makeup." Aw. (Little did he know that I'd just applied a serum, sunblock, eye cream, primer, tinted moisturizer, concealer, blush, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara and a lip stain.) So I've got to know: Do you think your honey has any idea about how long it takes you to get ready?

CocoChic says this pocket-sized version of BeneTint will last through lots of kissing, and Steen loves Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion because it keeps eye shadow in place even in hot, humid weather. Mellie_608 suggested using Bare Escentuals Shine Control Sheets to blot out oil and shine so you'll look great in pictures.

Here are three must-haves for an adventurous honeymoon.

I can't stress enough the importance of packing sunscreen. If you are going to be doing activities outside, a bad sunburn can ruin your once-in-a-lifetime vacation!

There is nothing worse than getting eaten alive by pests. While typically I would suggest a special perfume or scented body lotion for your honeymoon, on this type of journey, you might attract insects! Not sexy.

Instead, I suggest packing something like this Burt's Bees Herbal Insect Repellent ($6.99) that smells of lemongrass, citrus and rosemary or this Kiss My Face Sun Swat Sunscreen Spray ($10) that also smells great and wards off annoying little buggers!

Honeymoon Beauty, Part II: What to Buy on Vacation

Welcome to Part II of this week's honeymoon series! Going abroad for your honeymoon? Lucky you! Not only will you be vacationing with your hubby, but you can sneak off and get some international beauty buys, too! One of my favorite parts of traveling is seeing the various products that are rare in the States, so I've created a guide to beauty brands available in three common honeymoon destinations.

If you're going to Paris, head to Printemps, where you'll find the largest beauty department in the world. More than 300 brands are available, so set aside some time to shop. Start by browsing the full line of adorably-packaged Paul & Joe cosmetics, which are hard to find in the States. Stock up on the La Roche-Posay skin care line, which has the best sunscreen I've ever tried, Anthelios SPF 60 (!) for around 15 euro. Anthelios is available in the US, but very rarely at that level of sun protection (and never so cheap). Going to South America? Whether you're in Rio de Janeiro or Buenos Aires, look for Natura, Brazil's biggest beauty line. It's a collection of skin care, hair care, fragrance and makeup infused with (sustainably-harvested) Brazilian plant ingredients like guarana, cacao and pitanga. The packaging has a cool organic-ish design, too-making these products perfect souvenirs for your loyal bridesmaids back home.

Okay, so Hawaii isn't "international," but it's a world away from, well, just about everywhere else. If you're on Oahu, stop by Lanikai Bath and Body, whose body butters and lotions use island ingredients such as papaya, aloe, kukui, noni and macadamia. As a bonus, the shop is in Kailua, which has a beautiful and very romantic beach!
