BellaSugar's Insider Look Into Celebrity Makeup Bags: Veronica Webb

We just found out the contents of Noemie Lenoir's and Selita Ebanks' makeup bags, and now I've got insight into what cosmetics supermodel Veronica Webb can't live without. On Tuesday evening, Veronica auctioned off pieces from her jewelry collection at an event (sponsored by Lancôme) to benefit her charity The Macedonia Fund. Veronica started the fund a year ago in memory of her mother; it helps disadvantaged children attend the Key West Montessori School for free. Not only am I pleased to see her using her celebrity for a good cause (now that's model behavior), but I also learned about her favorite beauty products.

My initial instinct is that she had some type of affiliation with Lancôme, but actually, she doesn't. A makeup artist simply turned her onto a few treats and now she's smitten. If you want to know what they are (and they're not all Lancôme, either), read more.

Take a Peek into Selita's and Noemie's Makeup Bags

Models Selita Ebanks and Noemie Lenoir (left to right) both looked beautiful at the recent premiere of Hotel Gramercy Park. I've chatted with both models before - Selita loves sports and Noemie turns out to be a bit of a romantic. And now I've got the scoop on what they used to get these movie-premiere looks. As a face of L'Oreal, Noemie uses plenty of products from this brand. She's a fan of L’Oreal Glam Shine Lipgloss in Princess & Prima Donna, and L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara. “Every morning and night I use the L’Oreal Normal Skincare Regimen," she says. "It includes Visibly Clean Foaming Creme Scrub Cleanser and Skin Renewing Toner, then I finish off with the Daily Moisture Lotion.”

Selita, a Victoria's Secret Angel, was minimal with her makeup for the premiere. She used Very Sexy Eyeliner in black velvet highlighted along her lids and the Very Sexy Mosaic eye shadow in Sultry for a naturally dark tint. Very Sexy lip gloss in Wet - her favorite shade - was slicked on her lips. She also used Very Sexy Mosaic Bronzer to even out the tones in her face and neck. To get her loose, tousled hairstyle, she curled it and then ran Victoria’s Secret So Sexy Shine Serum through to make it look shiny.

Nars Celebrates 15 Years With 15 Stars and a Book

When couples celebrate their 15-year anniversary, the traditional gift they might give their mate is crystal. But when François Nars celebrates his company's 15th anniversary, he makes a book, with all proceeds going straight to charities. And as you might expect, it's not your ordinary coffee-table publication. To commemorate the company's quindecennial anniversary, Nars plans to release 15x15 ($80) in mid-November, with only 1,500 copies hitting the presses.

The book, which will be available for 30 days at 15x15project.com, will feature photos of 15 celebrities, from Marc Jacobs to Amber Valletta to Naomi Campbell. "Basically, I wanted people who reflected my taste, friends, and people I admired for their look and talent," Nars told WWD. Inside the book, you'll find two inspirations behind each photo, along with a featured makeup product. Nars promises, "You don’t get bored." And after looking through some of the photos below, I couldn't agree more.

DSquared Channels Young Hollywood For Fall

Based on the runway makeup from their Fall/Winter 2009 runway show, twins Dan and Dean Caten of DSquared looked to the deliberately undone appearance of young Hollywood stars like Lindsay Lohan and the Olsen sisters for inspiration. "It's kind of 'rock-on' makeup, but it's effortless and not overly done or perfect," said Dean. Known for a humorous approach to fashion, like their recent take on glamping, DSquared has been partnering up with MAC since their first show 12 seasons ago. This time around, the MAC DSquared Fall/Winter Collection is edgy, purposefully disheveled, and not meant to be taken too seriously - or as MAC says, it's Ziegfeld Follies by way of Grey Gardens with a little Girl, Interrupted. Did you catch all that? It's all about a dark, glistening eye with a neutral face and nude lips.

What do you look for in a mascara? Is it thickening power, the ability to lengthen, or a little of both? Whatever the case, I'm sure you're also looking for smudge- and flake-free results. That's exactly what reader Soapbox found in MAC's Zoom Lash Mascara ($13):

This is my go-to mascara nowadays. I do a lot of air travel - mainly flights over six hours. I apply this in the morning, roughly six-plus hours before the flight, and it doesn't smudge or flake. And I even sleep on the plane. It gives my lashes a lot length and friends/family used to ask if I was wearing falsies. The only issue I have with this mascara is that too much gets on the brush, which causes it to clump up. So you have to brush a little off on the inside of the tube and hold it a certain way when you use it. But once you get past this, it's smooth sailing.

Filmmaker Mitch McCabe Shares Her Thoughts on the Anti-Aging Obsession

Tonight, do yourself a favor and watch Mitch McCabe's excellent documentary, Youth Knows No Pain. (It airs tonight at 9 p.m. on HBO, and it is great.) The film explores our societal obsession with looking forever young, but what makes it all the more interesting is McCabe's own backstory as the daughter of a plastic surgeon. Through interviews with cosmetic surgeons, Botox babes, and her own introspection, she's created a smart, fascinating, poignant, and funny film. Set your TiVo already, and read on as McCabe discusses her take on our age-phobic society in this interview.

It seems like 10 or 20 years ago women in their 20s weren’t so concerned about aging. Now a lot are - we even see 26-year-old Julia Allison go for fillers in the film. Why do you think there’s been that shift?
One thing Julia was talking about is that women’s fertility decreases after 25, and just from a biological standpoint, there’s an expiration date - biologically and therefore in terms of attractiveness. My Buddhist friend, we’d argue about the subject matter of the film and say attractiveness is only meant to attract a mate, your importance is supposed to come from the inside. So once your breeding days are over, of course your attractiveness is supposed to fade out. It wasn’t supposed to be important in the first place. Not that Julia Allison is a Buddhist, but she's speaking the truth of what happens out there. I mean, do we see women in their 30s and 40s being cast in many different roles out there? No. If women try to date on the Internet and post their real age, can they get as many dates as a woman who’s 28? No. If you really listen to a man who’s maybe had a couple drinks, he might be more honest about his views on older women.
