This isn't Christina Aguilera's first venture into the fragrance world. It isn't even her second. Aside from dabbling in the European fragrance market for the past several years, her fruity, vanilla-esque perfume aptly named, Christina Aguilera made its stateside debut last fall.

Just the thought of being swept away for a beach getaway this Summer fills me with warm and fuzzy feelings. Blue skies, pristine white sands, beautiful people, and an excuse to buy some new makeup! It seems island life is inspiring some pretty groovy palettes, too.

I've long admired Zooey Dechanel's retro style, and at the Hollywood Awards Gala, she walked the red carpet while wearing this swirly, sparkling headband. The side angle of the hair accessory adds a playfully modern feel, and the bangs bring a fashionable element to her signature look. What do you get when one of Hollywood's most popular and powerful A-listers releases a fragrance? In Bloom ($34), the new Avon scent from Reese Witherspoon. Over the course of two years, the self-proclaimed girly-girl was involved in practically all aspects of the perfume-making experience, from helping to select the fragrance's notes to providing input on her inaugural scent's packaging, bottle design, and name.

Every other celebrity today has a fragrance they're hawking, but fewer and fewer serve as the inspiration for a perfume that isn't their own brand. In the past, though, the great perfumers made scents that were homages to some of the day's most dazzling women — no Fantasy commercials necessary. Many of the scents in this quiz are classics, and so are the women who inspired them.

Recently, I made my yearly — OK, it's been more than a year — trip to the eye doctor. I've worn glasses for about 14 years now, and from one "trendy" frame to another, I've had lots of different looks. Since some were good, and others I'd prefer to forget, that was the inspiration behind this series of posts on choosing eyeglass frames.
