The Secret Behind Jennifer Aniston's Sexy New Hair

For the April cover of W, Jennifer Aniston took a step away from her girl-next-door image. The sultry shoot was a little bit Kim Basinger in 9 1/2 Weeks, borrowing from Stella McCartney's spring collection.

Jennifer's famous locks were coiffed by her longtime stylist Chris McMillan, who told W that the secret behind the actress's tousled tresses was dirt - literally. "It's not her typical blown-out hairstyle," he said. "It's a little rougher. We liked seeing the flyaways."

After the first day of the shoot, McMillan allowed Jennifer's hair to dry naturally curly, refining it from there. For day two, photographer Steven Klein asked that Jennifer come prepared with unwashed hair. "We left her hair dirty. It just created a nice chunky texture," McMillan said. Just when you thought the ranks of celebrity perfumes couldn't get any larger, a dark horse entrant is coming to change the whole game: Jennifer Aniston. That's right, Jen's rep has confirmed that she's launching her own signature fragrance, which, according to an insider, she's thinking of naming "Aniston." No word on the scent notes yet, but apparently the fragrance is "all about capturing the idea of romance and freedom at any age." What do you think? Ready to get friendly with this one? Or is it just one more celebrity perfume that needs to be derailed?

In the '90s, one hairstyle reigned supreme: the Rachel. When Jennifer Aniston debuted this layered bob for Friends, it seemed like half the women in America followed suit. It truly is the era's iconic haircut. Now, The New York Times makes the case for Blake Lively's hair being the It style for this decade. "Her hair right now is a big trend," said New York stylist Nuri Yurt, adding that it works only for tall, thin women.

Makeup artist Jorjee Douglass, who worked on the set with Jennifer during the filming of The Baster, has a simple tip on wearing this neutral, flattering shade. "When doing a dark, smoky eye, you need to go lighter on the lips," she says.

Also on the star-studded list? Jennifer Aniston, whom Douglass worked with on the set of The Baster earlier this year.

How-To: Jennifer Aniston's Oscars Makeup Look

Jennifer Aniston may have skipped the red carpet at the Oscars, but she shone on stage. Leave it to Jen to have a simple but glamorous hairstyle, along with a sun-kissed face shown off by a genuine smile. "She is the quintessential California glamour girl," says makeup artist Angela Levin. "She was radiant as always on Oscar night."

Skin: After moisturizing Jennifer's skin, Levin applied Chanel Lift Lumiere foundation in Beige, concealing undereye circles with the matching concealer. Instead of blush, she dabbed Hydrabase lipstick in Coco Red on the apples of Jennifer's cheeks. After that, she dotted Sheer Brilliance in Sunkissed around the tops of Jen's cheekbones. (This captures light with a slight shimmer.) A bit of powder bronzer gave Jen a sunny glow.
Eyes: Jen wore Lorac eye shadows in Jade (green) and Serenity (bronze), along with Tina Earnshaw shadow in Aubergine. She closely lined the top and bottom lashes with black eye shadow. A coat of Chanel Inimitable mascara in black finished the look.
Lips: Lucky Jen got a preview of Chanel's forthcoming Aqualumiere Lipshine in Panarea. Get a similar look with a deep rose, creamy lipstick or Chanel's Aqualumiere in Yucatan.

Say what? Perhaps you've heard the buzz about a certain actress potentially joining the already-saturated world of celebrity spokesperson-dom. According to WWD, Jennifer Aniston might be shopping around for her own beauty deal.

Maybe it could be her own fragrance collection à la Halle Berry, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Christina Aguilera.
