Which Lipstick Do You Prefer on Jennifer Connelly?

Does Jennifer Connelly ever not look amazing? When it comes to complementary makeup colors, the actress is a very lucky gal. While she has cool-toned features, like icy green eyes and deep, dark eyebrows, she's also able to wear warm tones, particularly with that golden tan she's got in the last two photos. Yesterday at a press conference for her new flick, Creation, the actress wore a poppy-pink lip color, while the day before, she walked the red carpet at the 2009 Toronto Film Festival with an amped-up rosy red. (I do also believe she is one of the rare people who can pull off a reddish eye shadow.) What's your favorite lipstick shade on Jennifer? Do you prefer a pretty in pink? A sexy red? Or, would you go with a basic nude?

Love It or Hate It? Jennifer Connelly's Costume Institute Gala Look

Besides the slight silver sheen on Jennifer Connelly's eyes, she went with a very bare-bones look. There's a minor red flush on her cheeks and there's definitely a subtle glow to her lips, but I think Jennifer went a little too "day" for this evening event. The Costume Institute Gala is all about drama, and Jennifer seems to be lacking some oomph on the face. Do you agree?

FACE: Angela began her work on Jennifer after her face was washed and moisturized. While it was still a little bit dewy, she added some Cle de Peau Pre Makeup Emulsion, rubbed it in well and then applied a light coat of Chanel Teint Innocence Fluide in Cameo as a base.
CHEEKS: Next, she applied a little bit of Chanel Joues Contrast Powder Blush in Nude to the apples of her cheeks and blended outward toward her hairline. This is a very light blush used to create a warmth and is often paired with red lipstick, since it won't overpower the skin.
EYES: Since Jennifer has such gorgeous eyes, Angela decided to keep the color simple-but she wanted to make them bright, too. She created this look by beginning with a light layer of Sublimage Eye Cream to prep the skin and then she added some Chanel Ultra Correction Total Eye Revitalizer. The only shadow used was a little bit of Chanel Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Lotus in the crease, and the look was complete with two coats of Chanel Inimitable Mascara in Noir.
LIPS: Jennifer is wearing Chanel's gorgeous new holiday 2007 lipstick, Rouge Allure in Dazzling. It's a deep red that looks great on most skin tones since it's got a slight berry tint and an ultra-creamy texture.

What Color Lipstick Looks Best on Jennifer?

Jennifer Connelly has a very unique look. There is something mysterious and appealing about her beauty. Each time I see her on the red carpet or in films she really captivates me. Although her hair never changes much, she's got fabulous skin and gorgeous green almond shaped eyes that seem to pop when she adds color to her lips. I like her best in the third look where she has an eye/lip balance. What color lipstick do you think looks best on her?

Reader Review of the Day: Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick

Revlon's new liquid lipstick has a slick ad campaign featuring the beautiful Jennifer Connelly and a tagline promising that the product "has it all." But is there really such a thing as truth in advertising? Reader Jenzene says not so much. I'll let her take it from here:

"It doesn't give you glossy lips like Jennifer Connelly has in the ads. Nope, it dries matte. It's also very drying! There's no glossy layer, there's no moisture at all. IT'S LIKE A LIP STAIN, but more pigmented than a typical lip stain (because it's supposed to be like a lipstick). The color dries on my lips, and you can still see the dry skin and lines on my lips. No good."

Jessica Biel Is Revlon's Latest Lady

Aside from given names, what else do Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel have in common? They're now both brand ambassadors for drugstore favorite cosmetics brand, Revlon. Biel, who has experimented with different hair tones in the past, will now get to experiment with all sorts of makeup products as a spokeswoman for the beauty giant, WWD reports.

Perhaps known best for her role on 7th Heaven and her connection to main squeeze Justin Timberlake, the actress joins the likes of Jennifer Connelly, Halle Berry, and Elle Macpherson in her new position with Revlon. What do you think of the choice? Is it a good match, or not?

Jennifer Aniston looks amazing in the November issue of Harper's Bazaar. The story and images went up a few weeks ago on PopSugar and now I've got all the deets on her flawless face.

Once again, the talented Chanel makeup artist Angela Levin (remember her from Jennifer Connelly's Hollywood Film Festival Look?) worked her magic to give Jen tanned, radiant-looking skin, bright eyes, and a glossy pink pout. It could go wrong, but somehow she made it look very natural.

FACE: Angela began by priming Jennifer's skin with Benefit's Dr. Feelgood. She then added a little bit of Chanel's gorgeous Teint Innocence Fluide in Wheat mixed with some Cle de Peau Teint Naturel Powder Creme in O30 as a base.
CHEEKS: Next, she applied some of Stila Convertible Cheek Color in Orchid (which is discontinued now, FYI) to the apples of her cheeks and blended outward. And so that her skin didn't look too shiny, she added a touch of Chanel Silky Cheek Colour in In Love to her cheekbones. This is also a great contour color.
EYES: To create this clean, smoldering look that makes Jen's blue eyes pop, Angela used Chanel Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Ebony, to the crease and then blended in the colors from the Les Divines Mattes Quadra Eyeshadow, also by Chanel. Next, she applied some of Nars Cream Shadow in Demon Lover. As a final touch, Angela layered on two coats of Chanel Inimitable Mascara in Noir.
LIPS: For this perfect pink shimmery lip, Angela applied Chanel Glossimer Lip Gloss in Bel-Air to Jennifer's lips.

Reader Review: MAC Brow Set

The other day, Fab came over and started waving a tube of brow gel in my face. "Have you tried this?" she asked. "It is the best." Since I hadn't, I asked her if she'd share a review with you. Since she's a sweetie, she agreed to. So, take it away, Fab:

"My eyebrow prayers have been answered. Here's how. . .

"I never had a lot of brow to begin with. I covet the thick, dramatic brows of Jennifer Connelly, Angie Harmon and, of course, Audrey Hepburn. Like all adolescent girls, I took a tweezer to my brows at a too-early age. I quickly learned that thin brows didn't work for my face, and now I am in a happy brow place, sort of.

"My brows don't have natural lushness and for photo ops and evening I use a kit to plump them up. But for everyday, I let them be their usual uninteresting selves. And so, I found M·A·C Brow Set ($13.50) and I've had fiercer brows ever since. The awesome thing is it doubles as a brow gel so I don't have to use a separate product for that. I just lightly glide it on with its round mascara brush and Q-Tip away any unnecessary brow gel. It comes in six colors; I use Beguile (pictured) for my dark brown brows. Great price, great brows."

I should add that Fab really does have great brows, and from looking at them, I never would have guessed that she uses any product at all. Fab tested, Bella approved.
