The Met's Costume Institute Gala: Jessica Biel

It's been a big day for Jessica Biel. First, it was announced that she's Revlon's latest lady and now, she's in attendance at this year's Costume Gala, sporting an ultra-tanned makeup look.

A pop of tawny pink blush on the cheeks accentuates those enviably high cheekbones. That, plus deep burgundy shadows and an opaque, nude lip, create somewhat of an avant-garde, sun-kissed feel. As for her medium-length dark blond hair, Jessica tosses it back into a loose, not-too-serious, updo. What's your take on her fashion-forward tan? Do you consider it bronzed babe territory, or not?

Jessica Biel Is Revlon's Latest Lady

Aside from given names, what else do Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel have in common? They're now both brand ambassadors for drugstore favorite cosmetics brand, Revlon. Biel, who has experimented with different hair tones in the past, will now get to experiment with all sorts of makeup products as a spokeswoman for the beauty giant, WWD reports.

Perhaps known best for her role on 7th Heaven and her connection to main squeeze Justin Timberlake, the actress joins the likes of Jennifer Connelly, Halle Berry, and Elle Macpherson in her new position with Revlon. What do you think of the choice? Is it a good match, or not?

What I like most about a red lip is that it doesn't have to be too fussy, as the ladies of the 2009 red carpet prove. Whether it was subtle and matte like Anne Hathaway or bold and raspberry-toned à la Alicia Keys, it just goes to show you that red-toned lipstick is always en vogue. Jessica Biel is naturally beautiful, and even if she weren't famous, you'd probably gawk at her gorgeousness on the street. But I'm not feelin' this Oscars look as much as other red-carpet styles she's shown in the past. The makeup is mostly natural-looking, but this messy hairstyle seems a bit informal for such a prominent event. Does it feel a little unflattering to you, or do you think Jessica has nailed the messy-sexy look?
