Celebrity endorsements are one of the oldest marketing tricks in the book. Take, for instance, Jessica Szohr of Gossip Girl fame. The actress was spotted checking out fragrances like DKNY's DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom EDP Spray ($55 to $70) and Island Michael Kors Bermuda EDP Spray ($62) in these totally candid and not-at-all-staged photos.

In the last few days, Jessica Szohr (that's Vanessa to you Gossip Girl fans) has been wearing her long black hair twisted in dreadlock-esque formations. (It doesn't seem like she's had long enough to actually perfect dreadlocks, which take months to cultivate). What do you think: sexy earth girl or just messy?

Trend Alert: Free-Falling Bangs at The Longchamp Bash

Last night, pretend New York socialite Leighton Meetster and fellow Gossip Girl star, Jessica Szohr joined real life New York socialite Olivia Polermo at the 60th anniversary soirée for Longchamp. I can imagine just how sweltering the big apple can be in the Summertime, but these lovely ladies have managed to mask any evidence of debilitating heat and humidity.

They arrived to the Upper East Side wearing minimal makeup and casual updos with their long, layered bangs lying just below their jawline to frame their face. I always feel that when I allow loose pieces of hair to fall by the wayside that I look unkempt, however, I think we can all agree that these girls look nothing short of chic.

We already know that you prefer Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr with curly hair over straight hair (believe it or not, this look prevailed by a single vote). But yesterday at the CW upfront presentation in NYC, she walked the green and red carpets with long, voluminous hair extensions. While it's nice to see her in a soft, feminine sundress, this hair is a little more Blair than Vanessa for such a rugged character. What do you think about Jessica's new extensions?

Once again, Gossip Girl doesn't disappoint. The first half of the show was filled with a cat-and-mouse chase of Dan trying to find Serena, but the last half was where all of the real drama unfolded. I can't wait to see what happens with Nate and V's cute courtship, if there will be more hot kissing from Lily and Rufus, and of course if Sarah (er, Georgina) gets busted by the gang in Queens.

Only on the Upper East Side would a mother be able to watch her daughter's sex tape in the afternoon and by the evening have it all sorted out. Gotta love dramatic television.
