The last couple of days have been some of the most experimental of the week. If you've seen the makeup and hair at Marc Jacobs's runway show you know what I'm talking about. While I'm excited to see designers innovating, I'd also like to showcase looks that are achievable without a team of brilliant makeup artists present. So along with the big, cool-to-look-at shows, I've put together some of the prettiest, most accessible looks from the last couple of days. Click through and see for yourself. Coming Soon: Jill Stuart Cosmetics

In Asia, Jill Stuart's beauty products have a cult following. Alas, we Americans have only been able to enjoy the fragrance here in the States - until March, when 20 to 30 pieces of the collection launch in America. The 140-piece line, which includes everything from nail polish remover to cleansing oil, hit Japanese shelves in 2005 and has expanded to Taiwan and Hong Kong. In America, prices are expected to range from $15 to $50. From the look of it, this will be a fun line - last April, the brand started releasing monthly limited-edition nail polishes inspired by the month's birthstone. New York Fashion Week, Fall 2007: Jill Stuart

The look at Jill Stuart was Mod, baby. Fashion is repeating itself and we are clearly in the 60s again. We've already caught glimpses of Sienna Miller's Mod looks from Factory Girl and know that stores have been carrying mini shift dresses for months. On to the good stuff...

Main silhouettes were swingy 60's inspired pea coats, hot pants and high waisted pants. Patent leather accents, bows and fur trim were key details. There were also playful hoods contrasted with plunging necklines on cocktail dresses. Colors were bold: black, electric blue and purple.

As for hair, think Marcia Brady. Center parts with straight hair that looked neat but not overdone. Hair was loose, not pin straight and teased in the back just a tad to give a messy effect. Most models had very long hair. For those who didn't, they were given the same style sans any extensions or falls.

Makeup was also reminiscent of the times. Models wore pale pale lips, which looked almost milky colored and cheeks were also pretty bare. They had a touch of contour to them, but no pop of color at all.

Eyes were grey and smokey with heavy black eyeliner around the rims. Mascara was especially dark and thick with tons of added fake eyelashes to add length and thickness. While the clothing was playful and the girls looked pretty - they didn't come off looking so soft and sweet; this show was most definitely serious Mod!

Beautiful Blue Eyeliner!

Blue eyeliner is still going strong this summer. This is one 80's look that I never thought would come back. According to Molly Roncal, a NYC Make Up artist, this trend isn't going anywhere either. So when you can't beat em, join em. Here are some FABulous blue hues.

Helpful hint: Only line the top of your eye. I said that the 80's look is back, but that doesn't mean that we are still living in the 80's so don't overdo it.

How-To: Emphasize Your Eyes Like Jessica Stroup at FW

With Fall Fashion Week in full swing in NYC, FabSugar and I have checked out some amazing shows and picked up tons of great tips for you. Since I believe in spreading the love, here's a how-to on audience member, Jessica Stroup (from 90210), who we've spotted at shows from Pamella Roland to Jill Stuart. Her look comes courtesy of TheBalm makeup artist, Felicia Roman, who's shared the exact products she's been using on Jessica this week. My favorite part is how those bright blue eyes pop with that smoky shadow. Learn how to re-create this at home when you read more.

Push the Pick-Up Liner (in Don Juan) into the base of the lashes, using a thicker liner to cover most of the bottom part of the lid. For smokier definition, then smudge around the lashes.
Dab ShadyLady Eye Shadow (in Luscious Lani) across the lid.
Lightly dust the sheer Overshadow (in You Buy, I'll Fly) over the lid and blend into the lower lash liner over the pencil for a shimmery finish.
Finish up the eyes with three coats of Two-Timer Mascara, the first two for fullness, the final to separate and lengthen the lashes.

If you're curious about the rest of the look, here are the items used on her face and lips.

Face: To even out her skin tone, Felicia blended BalmShelter Tinter Moisturizer with TimeBalm Concealer and photo-finished up with SexyMama translucent powder. For a healthy glow, combine matte Bahama Mama bronzer with berry toned Hot Mama blush on the cheeks.
Lips: Finally, condition lips with theBalm to the Rescue and top with flavored, shimmery gloss like Plump Your Pucker (in Cocoa My Coconut) seen here.

Product Review: Kose Seikisho Mask White

While visiting Japan last year, I found a lot of exclusive and hard-to-find cosmetic brands. (For instance, did you know that the designer Jill Stuart has a complete beauty line?) One unusual discovery is Kose Seikisho Mask White ($28).

Naturally, I had to buy a tube (as a souvenir, of course). The mask itself comes out of the tube as a black goo. (It made me think of The X-Files, which led me into a dreamy David Duchovny reverie.) For more of my review, read more

The black mask has a soothing, cool feel that tightens a little when it dries. It smells good, too-it's hard to describe, but it just has a fresh, clean scent. If you try this mask, don't skimp with it; I found that applying a thick layer makes peeling the mask off much easier. Stay far away from the eye area, since you'll have to pull your skin a little to remove the mask. Doing so is easy: All you have to do is flick up a tiny bit, then use that to peel the whole thing off.

Whenever I use this, I find that it removes a fair amount of dead skin, and if I'm really lucky, it'll pull out a visible blackhead or two. My complexion generally looks better, but more in a "Well, that's nice" way than in a "Holy moly, who is that beautiful creature?!" way. While I like this product, I think that any peel-off mask is going to pull off dead skin, so I may as well hunt for a drugstore version for comparison. Queen Helene makes a grape seed mask that sounds similar, and it's only $3. I'm thinking of trying it to see if I can get the same result for $25 less. Model of the Week: Hana Soukupova

Welcome to the fourth installment of Model of the Week. I've written a five question interview that I have conducted with several high profile models to share with you. The questions are both fun and beauty related and will always remain the same. Don't forget to check out the past three installments featuring Jessica Stam, Caroline Winberg and Carolyn Murphy.

Here's a little about the up and coming runway model Hana Soukupova. Hana was born in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, on December 18th, 1985. She was a competitive basketball player until she entered the modeling arena through a Prague agency at the age of 15.

Hana has extremely long limbs and a delicate look about her. She has become a huge success over the last five years and continues to work incessantly.

You may recognize her from her campaigns for: Gucci, Jill Stuart, Tse, Carolina Herrera and Versace or from her Vogue, Elle and Bazaar covers. She has also graced the catwalk of many couture runways.

Hana stays in shape and gets rid of stress by hitting a punching bag she had installed in her apartment and she connects with her creative side by taking pottery classes in NYC.

BELLA: What is your secret to beautiful skin and hair?
HS: The best secret for a healthy complexion is an egg white face mask which firms the skin and replenishes your pores. My favorite home made secret for shiny hair is a conditioner made from a spoonful of yogurt, olive oil & lemon. It may seem crazy but I swear it works!

BELLA: What is the one product that you can't live without?
HS: I can't live without my special face cream from Avene which I put on my skin several times a day (probably too often). It can only be purchased in France. Whenever I come back from Paris my bag is full of nothing but the little glass bottles of the cream.

BELLA: What is your guilty pleasure?
HS: Bags! Big or small, new or vintage, you can never have enough purses. They last forever and even after a few seasons you can break them out and re-introduce them.

BELLA: What is your favorite drugstore product?
HS: I love the European beauty and body product shops as they have some things that you cannot buy in a local New York pharmacy. Whenever I am abroad I buy all kinds of different cool products from head to toe they always have something I can’t resist trying.

BELLA: Happiness is...
HS: Happiness is leaving the gym after a great work out, a big breakfast followed by grocery shopping which is truly my favorite hobby. I can spend hours in Whole Foods and do more damage there than in Prada.

New York Fashion Week, Fall 2007: Designers for Darfur

On Friday evening, many, many designers, fashionistas, and do-gooders gathered together in New York City's Roseland Ballroom in support of trying to help end the atrocities of genocide taking place in Darfur. Since it was the finale of Fall 2007 Fashion Week, the theme of the event was a grand fashion show appropriately titled, Designers for Darfur.

The hosts of the evening were Lydia Hearst Shaw (shown) and Malcolm Harris of Mal Sirrah. The sponsor was Steve Madden who not only presented, but he also provided all of the footwear for the models.

The show was beautifully orchestrated and went off without a hitch. Some highlights were: a long flowing yellow dress with a jewel accent, a stunning floor length turquoise evening dress as well as the adorable children walking the runway. All of the clothing was created in Africa's colors; red, green, black/yellow.

All the items from the show are being auctioned off on ebay right now. All profits will go toward the Save Darfur Coalition so please check it out!
