It's been three months since Lancôme tapped Julia Roberts as its newest spokeswoman. Now, Julia's famous smile is making its debut for the beauty brand. This just-launched French television ad features Julia wearing Lancôme's forthcoming European-market mascara, Hypnôse Precious Cells. Can You Help Find Chris Benz's Twin?

I've been trying for weeks to get my hands on the limited-edition Lancôme Chris & Tell Lipstick (sold out), and it is looking like I will not be successful. Does anyone know of another lipstick that is a similar shade? Thanks!

Chris Benz Wants to Help Pack Your Bags

In an alternate universe, designer Chris Benz and I are best buds. We sit around drinking coffee while talking about how underrated 764-HERO was, and whenever I look schlubby, he loans me a beautiful piece from his next collection.

Sadly, we do not live in that universe. Fortunately, the one we do live in is filled with Benz-y beauty goodness. Last month saw the launch of Chris & Tell, his lipstick collaboration with Lancome; the creamy coral shade sold out nationwide in a flash. Now, he's teamed up with Beauty.com to create a wee travel kit (it's free with a $100 purchase). The turquoise "suitcase" comes with luggage labels, so you can customize it to your heart's content. Inside, there's $130 worth of full-sized products and samples from brands such as Origins, Skyn Iceland, Murad, and Phyto. So until that alternate universe switches into reality, beauty goodies will have to fulfill my Chris Benz dreams.

Fall 2010 New York Fashion Week: Chris Benz

If you remain unconvinced that the '90s are upon us once again, look no further than the makeup at Chris Benz's presentation. "Chris was inspired by girls he grew up with in Seattle," makeup artist Daniel Martin said of the show's makeup inspiration. "We wanted to bring brown lipstick back."

To do so, Martin did a little backstage MacGyvering. To get a gothic-chic look, he used Lancome Le Crayon Poudre brow pencil in Sable as a lip liner. From there, he applied Lancome Color Design matte lipstick in Bronze Show. (It's out next month at Macy's.) To create a fuller look, he dabbed a bit of Juicy Tubes gloss in Hallucination on the center of the bottom lip.

While puttering around backstage, I tried out the forthcoming Lancome Ombre Magnétique eye shadow. It has a unique texture, much like a mousse but not as whipped and creamy. It's impressive stuff, able to deliver subtle sparkle that stays put. We have to wait until July to try it out for ourselves, but as you can see, it looked great at the show.

YouTube's Michelle Phan Links Up With Lancôme

In this day and age of YouTube stardom, (hello, Lauren Luke!), another popular video makeup artist, Michelle Phan, has also experienced her own share of overwhelming success. Now, the doe-eyed, soft-spoken Phan has some even more exciting news to share, as she's been tapped as Lancôme's official video makeup artist.

The 22-year-old art student debuted her first video in 2007. Since then, she's created more than 80 tutorials, which have been watched over 100 million times. Phan's first video for the prestigious brand marks its premiere later this afternoon, but in the meantime, check out what Phan has to say about her new role below:

Lancôme's Holiday Makeup Collection Is More Than Just ÔK

For this holiday, Lancôme's makeup collection, dubbed L'Absolu Rouge Soirée, features shades of red, plum, and brown. What I like most about this seasonally appropriate set is that the colors are very rich, long-lasting, and not too over-the-top holiday. In other words, you'll still be wearing these shades well beyond Jan. 1. Over the past two weeks or so, I've been wearing a few shades from the collection practically on a daily basis, and I'm impressed with just how much wear I've gotten out of this cool-toned set.

Here's the Buzz on Lancôme's Vibrating Foundation

If any brand is into shaking things up - literally - it's Lancôme. After last year's successful debut of Ôscillation mascara, the brand has recently rolled out Ôscillation Powerfoundation ($48), a vibrating mineral foundation whose applicator vibrates 7,000 times per minute. The idea is that these microvibrations make for a smoother and more even finish, all while creating softer skin over time.

Pretty Woman Julia Roberts is getting a new role: the new face of Lancôme. Joining the ranks of Anne Hathaway and Kate Winslet, as the brand's newest "global ambassadress," Julia will undoubtedly pop up in print and television advertising.

Initially, I was a little bit surprised by this news nugget; after all, Julia hasn't been in the public eye nearly as much in recent years because she's busy raising a family. But then I realized that maybe it really is a good fit: Julia spends a little time promoting the brand without having to be away from her kids too much, and Lancôme gets her still-considerable star power. How does it sit with you? Is this match a good one?

I'm loving Christina Ricci's makeup look from the recent Spike Scream Awards in LA, and lucky for us, we've got the scoop on the perfectly rosy lip gloss shade she wore as a stain while presenting the Breakout Male Performance award to Twilight's Taylor Lautner. It's from Lancôme's new lollipop-inspired La Collection Lollipop ($35 per kit).
