DIY Spa Treatment: An Easy Lip Exfoliator

If Brad Pitt's favorite lip scrub is out of your financial reach, don't worry - you can banish chapped lips for a lot less scratch.

All you'll need is a teaspoon of olive oil, a teaspoon of honey, two teaspoons of white granulated sugar, and a dash of lemon juice. Mix these ingredients together to make a sugary paste. Then use your finger or a toothbrush to gently sweep the mixture back and forth on your lips. The result: Softer, smoother lips for not a lot of money.

To use, simply slather on a thin layer, wait three minutes (trying all the while not to lick it all off) and then wipe it away.

Britney's Lips: Pleasantly Plump or Trout Pout?

Britney Spears certainly has enough legal troubles this week, so I'm surprised that she had time to puff up her lips. I'm pret-ty skeptical that her lips got that pillowy with lip plumpers alone. Not to pour a big glass of Haterade, but... these lips are a little, uh, exaggerated. What do you think?

New Product Alert: Ramy Beauty Therapy Lip Oils

Ramy Beauty Therapy just launched a lip treatment called Lip Oil ($18). These deep lip conditioners are made with almond oil, jojoba oil and collagen-enhanced marine spheres to create plump, juicy, nourished and hydrated lips.

I just love this concept. Instead of using an ordinary lip balm to coat the lips, these oils absorb quickly and penetrate deeply into the lowers layers of skin to smooth out dryness and cracks in the surface and prevent further chapping.

They are available in three different flavors; mint extract, orange oil and rose milk to make the experience even more delicious. My only question is, won't the oil run all over your mouth?

The directions say to apply with your fingertip or directly from the dropper and blend, so maybe it's not quite as runny as I think. Overall, this newbie sounds pretty exciting - I'm not sure how long I can resist a flavored, deeply nourishing lip plumper. If anyone tries it, please report back with a comment or a private message.

Love It or Hate It? Jessica Biel's White Lip Look

Check out Jessica Biel in the parking lot the other day in LA. Girlfriend's got some seriously pale lips! It looks like all the blood has rushed out of them-somebody get her some plumper quick to get the circulation going in her mouth! All kidding aside, there are lots of ladies who love an ultra-pale pout. Some use powder to mattify, soften and lighten up the otherwise natural color. What do you think about the barely-there lip look?

Which Color of Lipstick Looks Better on Lauren Conrad?

Lauren Conrad decided to trade in her nude lips for some red-hot red lipstick last night at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. Whether or not you're a fan of LC's loud lip look, you certainly can't deny that her eyes look pretty darn amazing! So if you had to choose, would you say that she looks better in light or bright lipstick?

New Product Alert: Guerlain Lip Primer

The new Lip Lift Lip Primer ($27) from Guerlain has been out for just a few weeks now, but already, it's become a glowing success. It evens out your lip texture so that lipstick lasts longer, color is truer and it helps prevent any bleeding of bright colors.

What you might not realize is that Lip Lift also plumps up your pout ever-so-slightly thanks to the new micro-bead technology, which expands upon contact to add more volume and contour.

This product is an upgrade from their Liplift Beautifying Lip Fixative, but it doesn't contain SPF like the the Lip Fixative does. After trying it out, I really felt red-carpet ready. By this I mean, the texture is featherweight and your lips immediately feel smooth and tingly. But this isn't something you would use for a light layer of gloss, it's more for your done-up, bold lip look when you'd like your lipstick to stay put all night long.

The Spring 2007 Diane Von Furstenberg Show was called "All About Eve," as in the first woman. It was meant to look simple, sophisticated and seductive. You can see this reflection not only in her clothes but in her makeup choices as well. She mixed a polished, yet clean and natural, fresh face with a pop of bright fuchsia, matte color on the lips.
