Jul 30 2008 - 9:00am The invention of cream eye shadows has had a time-saving impact on my life. Not only are they easy to apply (you don't even need to use a brush), but depending on the color, they can also double as a highlighter. They're a cinch to travel with since they can't spill, and they typically dry to a nice, powdery finish.

I HATE cream makeup!!! Especially eyeshadow and blush. They are so hard to put on, even with a brush or my finger.
1You can get Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow (4 shades in 1!) at a lower price in drugstore..=)
2I love cream shadow and I use it more often than powders these days...my favorite is the Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner that you featured above. I have it in several shades and I use one almost everyday. Love it.
3I'm not a huge fan of cream makeup for eyes or cheeks - I find that it creases and is hard to blend properly, and with cheeks, it messes up whatever foundation/powder is already on my face. So I mostly stick with powders...
4I have issues with cream makeup on my eyes. It always creases on me and it always disappears after a few hours. I only really ever use cream shadows as a highlighter.
5I've used both the Laura Mercier and the Benefit (among others, like the Revlon, which was such a nightmare in creasing we just won't discuss it).
I have had good results with these two cream shadows.
My advice: don't put them on "unprimed" lids and don't use your fingers (they also have natural oils, remember). Eyelid primer + appropriate brush (synthetic fibers designed for cream formulas + a light touch = for me, a lovely sheer wash of color that doesn't crease on my (admittedly oily) eyelids!
Cream shadows also make a great sheet base for a more pigmented powder...
6Clinique touchtints! I use the gold every day, either alone or as a base for powder shadows.
7You can use GoodSearch.com to shop for Benefit and they will donate to your favorite charity, too.
I love Benefit. Fabo.
8I like Benefit and Stila cream shadows.
9I think Nars cream shadows are essential! My fave is Zardoz, the matte black shade. I prep my lids with concealer then loose powder then apply the cream shadows with my concealer brush only up to the bridge of the eye. No matter what color I put over it it gives it the smoke and intensity that I love. The trick with creams is all in the application. My obsession right now is Zardoz with Smashbox's new (powder) shadow Obsidian over it. Love it!!!!Laura's are great too!
10Lately I have been totally obsessed with the Benefit creaseless shadow. I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to applying eye makeup, and I hate taking the extra time to do it. This stuff is dummy proof; I just smudge it on with my finger and go, and it stays put all day. I know I sound like a commercial.
11Shiseido makes an AMAZING cream e/s. I can't get enough of it!
12It's called Hydro-Powder or something along those lines. I have it on every single day, on it's own or as a base to intensify powder e/s.
I only have it in two colours, but I'm stocking up on some more on my next trip to Sephora.
I really wanna try the Benefit ones too, I know they're discontinuing a few of the colours, so hopefully I'll get my hands on some before they're gone.
rachi99: Thanks for the tips! Can you please recommend a brush?
I use one by Clinique. I also have a couple by Rimmel & Avon which crease horribly. I just purchased the Too Faced Shadow Insurance today so i'm really hoping that helps. I'd like to try some of the cream shadows by Benefit.
13I love Revlon cream shadows, cheap and the color selection is wonderful; just wear a base (like UDPP or L'Oreal De-Crease) and the color will last.
I would like to try the shadows by LM and Benefit; Clinque also has some lovely colors.
14im never really a fan of cream eye shadow
15fine products and have fine pigmentation tone.
16i definitely recommend the Benefit Creaseless Liner. I love it! My fave is Samba-dy loves me and it's great for an overall look.
