Altuzarra's Middle Eastern-inspired collection included a Couture Grunge beauty look, which was all about the eyes. Besides foundation, the only other makeup applied was double-winged eyeliner, which formed drops at the tear ducts, reminding us of a swan-esque creation. Get the Sweater-fied Hair Effect From Richard Chai Love

You know that amazing moment when you pull off a sweater and your hair looks perfectly disheveled immediately thereafter? That's just the effect hairstylist Kevin Ryan (for Aveda) wanted to capture when creating the lifted, slightly mussed coiffures at Richard Chai Love.

To create the play on texture, particularly at the crown, Ryan began by spritzing the brand's Volumizing Tonic on models' hair. After blow-drying, he applied Brilliant Humectant to slick back the sides and added Control Granules for extra texture. Then, right before they hit the runway, Ryan switched around models' hair parts to create what he calls a "jump up on the front." The result was pretty hair with a little "strange volume" - sans the static cling, of course. See shots of the lived-in hair up close and learn more about the androgynous makeup and nail looks now.

Heiress, designer, artist, muse: Daphne Guinness has a long list of descriptors, and now she can add "makeup creator" to the list. On Dec. 26, MAC will release a color collection designed by the fashion icon, and the cool-toned palette is heavy on grayed-out pinks, deep plums, ombré violets, and muted blues. MAC Cosmetics is known for its high-fashion makeup, and Gareth Pugh is known for his avant-garde designs, so it just makes sense that the two would combine for a truly high-fashion mashup. Coming Nov. 23 (and available until Dec. 23) is the limited-edition Gareth Pugh For MAC collection.

"When creating my makeup collection with MAC I wanted it to be unexpected - creating something truly beautiful, very sophisticated, and incredibly chic but of course - with an underlying edge of darkness and attitude," Pugh said in a statement.

Colors in the line strike a balance between strong and ethereal, with hues such as deep blues, purples, silvers, and iridescents woven throughout. From angular lashes to butterfly-wing-inspired polishes, see it all up close now.

Earlier this year, Lady Gaga asked her fans (aka little monsters) and MAC lovers alike to submit self-portraits to potentially be imprinted on the fabric of The Masterpiece, a gown designed by Gaga's stylist, Nicola Formichetti. And now the time has come to reveal said masterpiece in this newly released short. Working in conjunction with MAC's Viva Glam campaign, for which Lady Gaga is a spokeswoman, the goal of creating this dress was to build awareness of HIV/AIDS.

Over the course of two years, Gaga has already helped raise $55 million for Viva Glam, and she is encouraging little monsters everywhere to purchase one of her MAC Viva Glam Gaga lip products ($15 each), as 100 percent of the proceeds go straight to the cause. So, "Go out and buy a lipstick for your girlfriend, your boyfriend, your mom, or your sister," as Gaga says, and watch the short now.

Miss Piggy Gets Her Own MAC Makeup Collection

In what may be the first porcine-inspired makeup collection in history, Miss Piggy is getting her own makeup collection. On Nov. 14, MAC will roll out an offering of eye makeup "designed for" the fashionable pig. The selection, to be available online only, features eye shadow in Miss Piggy Pink, black eyeliner, and faux lashes. Add in the movie tie-in OPI Muppets nail polish collection and the outfits Zac Posen designed for our frog-loving heroine turn in the new Muppets movie, and Miss Piggy is looking like one fine swine indeed.

What We're Sweet On: Long-Wear Lipliner That Doesn't Budge

Lip pencils are a great way to keep your color around longer, but it's rare to find one that makes you go "Hey, I really don't need to put anything on top of this." MAC's new Pro Longwear Lip Pencils ($18 each), though, may just be that product. Without anything on top, the pencil lasted through a Diet Coke, a cup of green tea, and half a pack of Trident before it even budged, and it was almost all still there by day's end. All of the shades perform well, but two standouts - the gorgeous ruby red Kiss Me Quick and In Anticipation, a soft rose hue - are so pretty that they're wearable on their own. And that, my friends, is no throwaway line.

The Makeup Theme at Altuzarra: Elizabeth Taylor at the Gym

Altuzarra's Spring 2012 beauty look was full of androgynous beauty touches, featuring a strong eyebrow shape with glossy lids. And in creating the latter, lead makeup artist Tom Pecheux's muse turned out to be a surprising one. "It's like Elizabeth Taylor going to the gym," he quipped. To achieve this goal, Pecheux used very minimal makeup on the face for a "high fashion and high drama" effect. MAC's Feline and Carbon eye colors were applied with the brand's #266 angle brush for shaping and defining, and lids were given a dewy texture. While we probably won't be seeing a style this severe on the average woman come March, you can likely count on bolder brows (as seen at Mara Hoffman and on Mandy Coon's runway) to be a big trend in the near future.
