Her character Joan on Mad Men would approve, because Christina Hendricks looked absolutely stunning yesterday at her real-life wedding to Geoffrey Arend. Even if you're not taking it down the aisle, her hair and makeup were absolutely beautiful, irresistibly romantic, and surprisingly simple to pull off. Joan Holloway proves that you don't need to show skin to be the hottest woman in the room. (OK, she's often the only woman in the room, but still.) The Mad Men character has a sultry secretary style that would still turn heads today.
Makeup artist Debbie Zoller researches every character's look to make it as authentically '60s as possible, and she emphasizes Joan's personality through her makeup.

Betty Draper on Mad Men is known for her bleeding-edge fashion sense, and the actress who plays her, January Jones, is no slouch herself. Last night at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, she arrived looking stylish (check out her cute dress), with a hairstyle that combines the classic with the risk-taking. Do you think it's another fashion-forward triumph or not?

After seeing Heidi and Spencer's Halloween shenanigans, I'm thinking that, yes, we will be seeing lots of Jon-and-Kate pairs this Halloween, particularly because that asymmetric blond wig is selling like crazy. Also from popular culture, I'd venture to say that there will be many sparkly Edwards and Bellas (get her exact makeup look here), Mad Men tributes, and even a few zombies, thanks to the success of Zombieland.
Of course, there are always tributes to those who have passed, and perhaps we'll see some Michael Jackson costumes, complete with heavily lined eyes, light red lips, and curly wigs.

Watching Bewitched on Saturday afternoons was a childhood ritual for me, and I dreamed of being as gorgeous and funny as Elizabeth Montgomery. Sam is still my favorite witch of all time, and if pressed, I might admit to a small crush on poor, sweet, OCD Darren (original Darren, of course, not the second one). But what's even more classic about the show is Sam's gorgeous hair and makeup, which I think is totally timeless.

Though she's not nominated, Mad Men star Christina Hendricks sure has a winning look tonight. Her beautiful red hair is styled in a very modern take on old Hollywood glamour. A beautiful half-up/half-down curly mane frames her equally luscious makeup.

Betty Draper might not approve of January Jones's smoky gray and silver eyeliner and neutral lip, but the Mad Men actress certainly did look stunning. The silver eye shadow on her inner eyes made things pop, while the smudgy, winged dark gray at the outer corners added a heavy (maybe too heavy) dose of sex appeal. What do you think?
