I love it when companies choose clever and uplifting product names to put a smile on your face. The theme of these items is laughter, and I think they make great gifts or pick-me-ups for yourself.

Space NK Laughter Body Wash ($28) is a gentle liquid and moisturizing body wash made from fruit extracts, rosemary, lime, ginger, juniper, and rosemary. No wonder you'll want to marinate in it while you're taking a shower.

The names in Bare Escentuals Laugh Out Loud Customer Comedy Eye Collection ($36) were chosen from suggestions made by BE fans. The trio of shadows is made from 100 percent minerals and is naturally free of all preservatives and irritants. Wear alone or blend together to create a silly or serious look.

Lola Cosmetics Geisha Giggle Lip Shine Lipstick ($18) is a shiny shade of coral that's perfect for day or nighttime wear. Plus, it smells wonderful because it's made from jasmine, orchid, lotus flower, and ginger.

Make-You-Laugh Makeup: Suggestive Names

Part of the fun of shopping for makeup is checking out some of the creative, sexy and funny names that companies come up with for new products. While something like Thrrrob is outwardly sexy, some names are more discreetly suggestive. These in particular made me laugh, so I thought you might enjoy them too.

The Balm Plum Your Pucker Lip Gloss in Squeeze My Lemons ($14) is a translucent and gentle lip plumper made from folic acid, menthol, vitamin C and just a slight touch of Maxi-Lip plumper to help increase blood flow to the mouth.

All of the glosses from The Balm are cutesy, but I happen to think the name of this one in particular is adorable. We totally get what it means and can laugh about it without it feeling gross whatsoever.

For two more suggestive makeup names,

Urban Decay Matte Eye Shadow in Yeyo ($16). When I saw this I gasped out loud. I am not sure what other meanings this word has, but from what I understand it's a pretty perverse and direct way to talk about cocaine. I imagine that I'm not that far off base considering the description for the color is matte white. That's just poor taste, guys - think of the kids.

Ramy Whipped Liqui-Air Color in Room 369 ($19) is a weightless and whipped liquid cheek color. Think of it more as a sheer cream blush than as a foundation. It glides on smooth and can be worn on your eyes as well. It dries instantly and will last long so unlike a cream blush, you can't smudge it off.

I love the subtlety of this name. Ramy, keep 'em coming - your clever names always give me a good chuckle.

As we all know, makeup can really be fun. I love it when designers create humorous or sarcastic names to go along with their products-why not, right? A couple of months ago, I posted about funny face makeup names and most recently, on my journey through stores and websites searching for blue makeup, I stumbled across some pretty clever names for cosmetics that have to do with regret. Femmephobia: "Girls Are Gross" Writ Large

When I was a freshman in high school, I and my friends were Cool Chicks.

We weren't like those other girls, the ones who were passive and weak and giggled and watched romantic comedies and thought about their hair and makeup. Those girls were stupid and frivolous and vapid, and we made fun of them. No, we were Cool. We liked fantasy novels and action movies and anime! We laughed at "that's what she said" jokes and "make me a sandwich" humor and South Park quotes! We fake-fought with each other and laughed off pain and never cried! We were just like the guys in every way!

Around this time, I was also beginning to really get into feminism. I was proud of myself. I defied convention and gender roles. My adoption of male gender norms wholesale was truly a feminist act. After all, all the stuff girls did was stupid, and the stuff boys did was fun, and -

. . . hey, wait a minute.

Do Men Have ‘Mommy Issues'?

Julia Serano, in Whipping Girl (which is, in my opinion, a book that should be read by everyone interested in gender issues) discusses the concept of "femmephobia" in our society. Femmephobia is the devaluation, fear and hatred of the feminine: of softness, nurturance, dependence, emotions, passivity, sensitivity, grace, innocence and the color pink.

To a large degree, our culture has replaced the fear and hatred of women, with the fear and hatred of things commonly associated with women. I think this is . . . not so much progress, actually.

Meryl Streep on Oscar "Streep Fatigue" and Having Everything She Ever Dreamed Of

Meryl Streep pulled out a major upset at the Oscars tonight when she beat out Viola Davis for best actress. It marks Streep's third Oscar (and 17th nomination!), but being a seasoned veteran didn't stop her from showing her excitement backstage in the press room. Streep joked about The Academy being sick of her, gave advice for young women, and talked about why she doesn't take anything for granted.

On what went through her mind when she won: They call your name and you just sort of go into a white light. And it was just thrilling. And it was like I was a kid again - and I was a kid the last time I won. Two of the nominees were not even conceived the last time I won!

On whether or not she got to meet Margaret Thatcher: No, I didn't, but I studied her and I studied. And then the challenge was to imagine her present life, and that was completely on active imagination. There was a lot of freedom in that, but also responsibility to a real person and to history. It was really, very, very satisfying as an actor, as an artist, to make a film that starts out about Margaret Thatcher and ends up being really about all of us.

On how she makes time for personal relationships: It's the juggle and the challenge that we [women] have, but honestly, in my life, because it's in the arts, I don't go to work every day. So my day has been more flexible than other working women, even when I was young and broke. I was only ever working for four months at a time and then I was unemployed. So my children never knew when I was going to be home, which was very valuable [laughs]. It was a struggle. Women have to do it all.

On how it feels to have won three times: I read a poem yesterday, and it had nothing to do with this, but one of the lines jumped out, and it said "It's as strange to be here once as it is to return." So that's true. The whole thing is strange. If you're a human being, it's weird. If you're not, I don't know. Probably fine.

On if she worried that she'd never win again: No. I have everything I've ever dreamed of in my life. I think there's room for other people, and frankly, I understand Streep fatigue. And it shocked me that it didn't override this tonight. I was really, really happy but I don't take anything for granted, that's for sure.

On advice for young women: Never give up, don't give up, don't vie up. Many girls around the world live in circumstances that are unimaginably different. Show business is a golf game compared to the way most kids grow up in the world. But I would say never give up.

On how it felt to see herself as Margaret Thatcher: By the time we had achieved the right amount of less and less and less, I had become acclimated to not looking at Margaret Thatcher in the mirror, I thought it was me. And that was important to me, that I wasn't looking at rubber, that I wasn't looking at me. At that point in creating that character, I had already morphed, in a way, in my head and in my heart with her. And her concerns, and her interests, her zeal, her mission, her sense of rightness, and all that. But honestly, when we first had the old-age makeup on, I saw my dad. Maybe my dad looked like Margaret Thatcher.
