When creating the hair look for Rebecca Minkoff's Fall 2012 runway show, Tresemmé celebrity stylist Jeanie Syfu was inspired by the designer's mix-of-textures assemblage of sequins, knits, leathers, and metallics. But she also looked to something beyond the surface, exploring a "woman on a journey of self-discovery."

"I wanted the hair to look undone, and not perfect," Syfu explained. And that meant embracing models' natural texture: no curling and/or flat irons were used, and even the brushes stayed in their drawers. How to Wear Shimmer Without Looking Like a Disco Ball

You probably already have a bevy of black eyeliners in your makeup stash, and you probably have at least one light and shimmery champagne eye shadow. That's all you need to re-create the eye makeup look that Ashley Greene wore last night at the Eclipse premiere.

Vanessa Scali, the makeup artist behind Ashley's red carpet look, said, "We wanted to create a soft, glowing goddess look to complement her beautiful Alexis Mabille Couture dress. The overall look was golden skin, soft blushed cheeks, champagne shimmer and a softly lined eye."

Getting that glistening eye is simple. First, start out by applying a champagne shadow all over the eyelids and just under the bottom lashes. Scali used I-mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Nomadic ($5).
Then, line the upper eyelids using a waterproof gel-based liner. Scali used the black portion of the brand's Keep It Going Eyeliner and Shadow in Entourage ($10).
For a dramatic finish to provide lots of depth, add a metallic shade of black liquid liner on just the very base of the lashes. Scali used Get in Line Waterproof Eyeliner in Painted Black ($6). And that's the way you do shimmer without going overboard.

Get a Flawless Glow Like Ashley Greene

Ashley Greene may have enviably flawless skin, and thanks to a few tips from celebrity makeup artist Mai Quynh, you can get a similarly perfect glow yourself. Mai worked with the Twilight star, who was recently named the spokeswoman for the beauty brand, at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in LA. The key to getting a gorgeous glow that's both sheer and luminous is to use lightweight, oil-free products. Get tips on how to get Ashley's look below:

Start off by applying a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer to the skin as a base, and to even out the skin tone, use a foundation that's also light in texture and free of oil. Mai used Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup ($10) in Honey on Ashley.
Add a dab of concealer where needed - mostly around the nose and under the eyes. Mai used Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer ($6) in Light/Medium.
Using a soft, fluffy powder brush, tap on a sheer powder with light coverage to set. Mai used Matte-nificent Oil-Absorbing Powder ($10) in Golden Honey.
Create a sunkissed effect by dusting on a super subtle warm blush. Mai used Good Glowing Mosaic Blush Custom Color Palette ($7).
