Over the last couple of days, celebrities have been popping up at Fashion Week and the 2009 Toronto Film Festival with more than a love of cool clothing or a movie premiere in common. From Rachel Bilson to Drew Barrymore, blue and blue-green nails are everywhere. I love that these traditionally warmer-weather shades are making the seasonal transition, and the range of fashionable colors means there are flattering colors and depths of tones for practically every skin tone. I admire anyone who tries anything different, and these ladies represent the best of the best when it comes to taking beauty risks. Whether you love their looks or not, you've got to give credit to anyone who shows up with multi-colored spikes and a trendy new lip color at one event, and then hair extensions and subdued makeup at another. Which Blond Do You Prefer on Mena Suvari?

Mena Suvari has been sporting this classic bob with blunt bangs and modern face-framing layers for almost a month now. I've got to applaud her up-for-anything kind of style. From shaved head to bouffant 'do, Mena typically sticks to shades of blond. And in the past week or so, she's been sporting a much more subtle hue. Love It or Hate It? Mena Suvari's Punky Color

So, uh, Mena Suvari showed off a new hair color in Toronto last night.

At first, the brash color turned me off big-time. But after looking at it more, I'm starting to warm up to it just a tiny bit. The spiky hair and unconventional color gives her a punky Johnny Rotten, Annie Lennox vibe-and like Rumer Willis, at least she's taking some risks with her look. What do you think of it?
