Zooey Deschanel is queen of cutie-pie quirk, but for the Golden Globes she took things to a new level, tweeting this photo of her nails painted up to look like little men wearing tuxedos and cummerbunds. Zooey's birthday is on Tuesday, so she's got a couple good reasons to have such a festive manicure. This isn't the first set of "tuxedo" nails we've seen, either; Ruffian showed off a similar look for its Fall 2011 runway. For a weekend project, you can attempt this manicure at home. Make your own glitter nail polish by combining your favorite fine-sized-flake craft glitter with clear nail polish. Apply several coats, then finish with a top coat. Or, you can achieve this shimmering look by trying out this fade-to-gold manicure. Use a bright, opaque color as a base, then add a few sheer coats of gold nail polish on the bottom half of the nail. Finish it off with glitter nail polish like Essie's Luxeffects across the whole nail. Rock on.
