Rockabilly hair can best be described as a modern take on the bun—but it has more height, added texture, and just a little bit of edginess, since the look doesn't require every single hair to be in place.
Lately we've been talking about the spring 2008 looks, but we shouldn't forget that the first day of fall is actually tomorrow! This chic hairstyle appeared on the runways of Nathan Jenden and Billl Blass (see the gallery) for the Fall 2007 New York Fashion Shows and is appropriate for day or night.

On Friday evening, many, many designers, fashionistas, and do-gooders gathered together in New York City's Roseland Ballroom in support of trying to help end the atrocities of genocide taking place in Darfur. Since it was the finale of Fall 2007 Fashion Week, the theme of the event was a grand fashion show appropriately titled, Designers for Darfur.
The hosts of the evening were Lydia Hearst Shaw (shown) and Malcolm Harris of Mal Sirrah.

Friday night, Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet really shined as she debuted her Fall 2007 Collection on the last day of fashion week.
The look was very fresh and could take you from business to cocktail. I adored the white flirty number with crystals on the top and I especially loved the brown tight turtle neck paired with the high waisted multicolored skirt (shown) - very 60s indeed.

Behind the scenes at the Fall 2007 Luca Luca show was every bit as glamorous as you would have imagined. Gorgeous, flawless looking models sat and waited their turn as makeup artists, lead by Tom Pecheaux, perfected smokey eyes and hair stylist, Teddy Charles, coiffed and curled.
The clothing was lined neatly in racks and the red carpet area had a white and silver Luca Luca backdrop.

The look at Jill Stuart was Mod, baby. Fashion is repeating itself and we are clearly in the 60s again. We've already caught glimpses of Sienna Miller's Mod looks from Factory Girl and know that stores have been carrying mini shift dresses for months.

Although the lovely Julianne Moore was not planning on going to any shows for Fall 2007 Fashion Week, she did make one exception.
Both the brand and the creative head of the French fashion company Lacoste, Christophe Lemaire, support her charity Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance. On February 3rd, decked out in cute Lacoste gear, Julianne made her way to the Bryant Park tents to support the cause which she so strongly believes in.

Jackie Rogers began her career as an original model for Coco Chanel, a singer, a movie starlet and eventually an owner of a NYC boutique. She made it a point to work with the exciting "Mademoiselle" on some of her collections all the while absorbing her technique. Jackie now has her own line which is no doubt inspired by her mentor.

Back in the 80's Barbie had a line of kiddie cosmetics I remember quite well. Then, in 2007, MAC released a Barbie-themed makeup collection. And now?
