Who Wore Watermelon Lipstick Best?

Fruity, bright pink lipstick is one of the year's biggest red carpet trends so far, with celebrities opting for every shade from bubblegum to cranberry. This week, three stars stepped out in equally vivid shades of mid-tone watermelon pink. First up: Emily Blunt, whose glossy lipstick was offset by understated hair and makeup. Then we have Julianne Moore, who wore an almost-matte stain and complemented it with a swoop of her beautiful copper hair. And last but not least, Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy wore a slightly deeper shade and added plenty of false lashes and soft, pretty curls. They all looked great, but which of these looks do you think wins out?

Even before her collaboration with MAC, Nicki Minaj wore her pink lip color everywhere - and with everything. (She even managed to match her lips to her hair color.) With a new album and her own signature lipstick from a makeup giant, I suppose her dedication to the color proves the old adage: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. While I can't imagine coloring my hair pink any time soon, I did get to channel my inner Barbie with her new shade, Pink 4 Friday ($15). It's available only on Fridays, and of course I had to try it on.

It seems like if you were a damsel of the fair-haired variety, you were bound to wear light pink lipstick to the Emmys. First off, there were peach-pinks like the color Jenna Fischer wore, which her makeup artist created by using Josie Maran Magic Marker in Mambo ($19) topped with Cover Girl Wetslicks Amazemint Lipgloss in Freedom of Peach ($5). Then there were those who opted for gold-pink, like January Jones in Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Confidence ($32), and women who went with classic baby doll pink, like Kristin Bauer (aka Pam on True Blood), who wore Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Belle de Jour ($24). Last night at the Mama Mia premiere in London, the typically makeup-free Amanda Seyfried arrived wearing bright pink lipstick. Because of her creamy, pale skin and slate blue eyes, I've noticed that makeup artists often put her in various pink lipsticks. I personally like the mauve in the middle the best, but the balmy-rose is also beautiful. What shade of pink lipstick do you like the most on Amanda?

The last time we saw bright pink lips like this was on Elisha Cuthbert and before that it was at the 2007 Spring Diane von Furstenberg Fashion Show. Now, two gorgeous A-list ladies are looking fierce in fuchsia!

Natalie Portman matched her dress and her lips at the Mr. Magorium Wonder Emporium premiere, while Beyoncé sported a shiny pink pout at an autograph signing in Seoul, Korea. I love that stars are starting to experiment with color. How do you feel about this bright pink lip trend? Here are a couple of product suggestions for those of you who are willing to play with pink.

Love It or Hate It? Elisha Cuthbert's Matchy Pink Lips

The Spring 2007 Diane Von Furstenberg Show was called "All About Eve," as in the first woman. It was meant to look simple, sophisticated and seductive.
