Another Memorial Day day has come and gone, and I hope that you had a relaxing weekend enjoying the warm weather. While we won't have another three-day weekend until July (sad!), the importance of shielding your skin from the elements is important every day of the year, especially during the hot Summer months. Because this is such an important beauty necessity, I requested that you find protective beauty items that you'd wear by the pool.

Now that we are all getting in tip-top shape with my Bikini Boot Camp Plan, it's time to start actually shopping for the perfect swimsuit. I usually like to snag a new suit before Memorial Day since I almost always end up on the beach or at the pool… What about you?

Nicole Richie Gets Beachy in a Bikini and Talks Married Life For Glamour

Nicole Richie is the star of a special spread in the June issue of Glamour, which features Carrie Underwood on the cover. Nicole lounged poolside in cover-ups and bikinis for the shoot to promote her many projects including Fashion Star and her new Nicole Richie Collection for QVC. She shared her beauty tips, talked about married life, and proclaimed that she's "proud" of her body. Here's more from Nicole Richie in Glamour:

On her husband, Joel Madden: "You know, Joel barely speaks all day, and then out of
nowhere he has 9 million things to say, only for 30 minutes, from 9:00 to 9:30 P.M., when I'm watching Real Housewives."
On her body: "I feel [gets all fake dramatic]…great about my body. [Laughs.] You know, aesthetically I can be picky, but I choose not to. I've taken huge leaps. I'm proud of that. I work out, and I get lots of sleep, and so I feel great. And that is most important."
On her favorite part of the day: "When I wake up at 5:30 A.M. and it's still dark out. I love, love being alone. It helps me to be a better mom to my kids and a better person at work."

Miranda Kerr Talks Motherhood and Her Bombshell Status at a Victoria's Secret Soiree

Miranda Kerr looked lovely as she played host at a Victoria's Secret's Bombshell Beauty event held inside LA's Mondrian hotel yesterday afternoon. The supermodel and new mom rocked a blue suede minidress and heels by Balenciaga for the poolside party. We were on hand for the festivities and had a chance to talk to the Australian-born beauty. Miranda told us the one thing that really caught her off guard about motherhood was just how painful labor was! She also chatted about what a great dad Orlando Bloom is to their son, Flynn, and talked about keeping busy with her baby by her side. Miranda has been doing lots of traveling with the two men in her life lately. She headed to Paris to model for Balenciaga in March, looking better than ever less than two months after giving birth, then went to NYC with Orlando late last month for the Tribeca Film Festival and Met Ball. Miranda has been busy with her duties as a spokesperson, but she said she and Orlando plan to take a getaway to her native country for a fun vacation soon. Miranda opened up about her husband and infant earlier in the day at a poolside party for Victoria's Secret, where she showed off her sexy postbaby body in Balenciaga. The new mom seems thrilled to chat up Flynn and her family life, and she even shared a hilarious story on the late-night show about not letting Orlando leave her side once during her 27 hours in labor.
