Did you ever think it might be possible to actually reverse gray hair, turning it back into the natural color it once was? It does sound rather outlandish — even fantastical — but according to scientists at L'Oréal's research and development center near Paris, the treatment could be just about 10 years away from coming to fruition.
"When hair goes gray, there is a progressive disappearance of the melanocytes (pigment-producing cells) from the hair.

The economy might (might) be on its way to recovery, but that doesn't mean I'll stop saving my pennies as much as possible. I'm always in the pursuit of looks for less, and over the weekend, I picked up Milani Blush Compact in Luminous ($3.50) — a pretty decent lookalike of the classic gold-toned peachy pink Nars blush in Orgasm ($25). While Milani's Luminous is not an exact replica of the famous afterglow shade, as it's not quite as pigmented, since it's about $20 less, I'm a happy lady.

Recently, a distressed reader contacted me about an unfortunate incident regarding a box of black hair color and the subsequent regretful results. Here's her story:
Three months ago I had an adult identity crisis and dumped a box of jet black dye on my naturally medium brown hair. Now I can't get it to lift out for anything — professionally or at home.

Celebrity stylist Byron Williams of the Byron and Tracey Salon created the look for Lauren, using her multihued frock as inspiration.

When it comes to product reviews, enthusiasm counts for a lot, so reader gilfill1's experience with Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Sun Damage Daily Eye Cream ($13.50) caught my eye. She says:
"I'm a total product junkie and was going to use Bare Minerals face lotion 'til the last possible drop (or until I got my next paycheck to afford yet another pricey moisturizer). Anyway, I went to Walgreens totally bummed, because I figured that whatever I did choose would probably suck, not work, or give me an allergic reaction.

I like perfume and I certainly like money, so I when I heard about a fragrance inspired by cash, I was intrigued by the concept. Add a little Andy Warhol in the mix, and it's all the more intriguing. Next month, Bond No.

Don't ask me why, but the people who give hardcore street drugs their nicknames and the marketers responsible for naming the fragrances you find on the shelves at Rite Aid seem to have a very similar tastes. In fact, it's nearly impossible to tell one from the other. Actual street drugs are no laughing matter, but to be honest, I wonder how many of these names are really used, and how many of them are the products of anxious prevention literature and a healthy dose of Urban Dictionary.
