Sep 18 2009 - 7:14am Well, this is a disappointment. After 30 years in the cosmetics business, Prescriptives — the makeup company known for its "colorprinting" approach to matching skin tones — will be shuttered by Jan. 31 of next year.
This is terrible. They made some of the only decent skin tone adapting foundation on the market (traceless) and their range of other fdtns was spectacular. AND they didn't make me break out
horribly like MAC. Sad day. I wonder if some lesser company will buy the formula for the Calyx scent?
OH NO OH NO!!! I LOVE the traceless foundation - the only foundation I've ever liked - and I use the custom concealor religously. Yes Bella -- how long do concealors last if not opened? Can I
stock up?
This is simply terrible. Max Factor is going too. I just can't imagine how so many of these other brands that seem outdated and off trend {hello Mary Kay, Fashion Fair} are still going
strong! I hope at least there will be some crazy good deals to be had from this.
This is horroble news!! I just ordered their Mineral Makeup, which is the only one that comes dark enough for my skintone, doesn't make me break out and isn't all sparkly. Guess I'll have to
stock up
wow, this is horrible. prescriptives was the first brand of makeup i ever used and i liked that they had a range of tones. i wish estee lauder would rethink this.

2wth!? are they going to replace with a similar option???
3Oh noooo.....
4I've always liked the brand, especially a cream-based makeup remover that they no longer have.
Sad.
Oh no! Their foundation is the only one I've found that doesn't break me out!
5No this isn't good news
6OMG -- noooooooooo. The custom blend concealor was the only one that ever worked.
Headed to my
counter soon to stock up.
Bella, how long do concealors last for if you don't open them? Thanks!
7Oh nooo! I love PX stuff!

12Do they still make the Calyx fragrance? I will have to pick up a bottle. After than Love's Baby Soft, my first perfume.
13My concern is Calyx, too. What about it??? Such a 1990s classic.

15No worries on the Calyx front-I work for the brand and fragrance Aramis will be picking up Calyx and selling it in Fine Fragrances!
