Laura Mercier's Spring Collection Seduces

No, this isn't the Prescriptives Fall '07 Seducers Collection, but this new Spring 2008 Seduction Collection from Laura Mercier similarly includes edgy and dark-purple eyes and nails.

I've yet to see any product live, but I can already tell from looking at the Eye Colour Quads in Shy and Wild Violette, that this is really going to make my green eyes pop.

And as if that's not enough, if you've been searching for the perfect set of flirty false eyelashes, you can now find three new sets for all occasions. Also included is a new eau de toilette called Violette - how fitting!

Eye Colour Quad in Wild Violette and Shy Violet ($38) is a shadow palette that contains four shades of pretty purples. Wear each color alone or blend them together.
Brilliant Eye Liner ($22) is a modern, fluid, pearlescent, and long-lasting liquid eye liner that is available in four shades: Cobalt, Golden, Onyx, and Violette.
Fine Point Eye Liner Brush ($24) is a narrow, exact, pointed brush made of synthetic fiber. It has been created especially to be used with the Brilliant Eye liner.
Lip Colour - Creme ($22) is an creamy lipstick that contains antioxidants and plumping ingredients to create the appearance of younger and fuller lips. The two new colors that have been unveiled in Seduction are Mistress and Passion.
Lip Colour - Shimmer ($22) has introduced new shades of the classic moisturizing lipstick in Pixie, Plum Wine, and Seduction. These medium-coverage lipsticks contain Vitamins A and E to soothe lips, along with a hint of shimmer.
Center Faux Eyelashes ($18) are a set of lashes that can be used anywhere from three to five times. This style is delicate and feminine and just creates the illusion of an open, wide eye.
Corner Faux Eyelashes ($18) are fun and easy ways to add drama to any look. You can create a cat eye (a very sexy look) just by applying the band on the outer corners of each eye - fun!
Full Faux Eyelashes ($18) are the most dramatic set of lashes available in the collection. Place them over your entire lash line for more volume and length all over.
Nail Lacquer in Daring and Avant Garde ($18) are two new bold colors for Spring. These high-shine formulas claim to be fast drying.
Laura Mercier Violette Eau de Toilette is a soft fragrance inspired by the delicate violet flower. Made from violets, black currant, mimosa, peony, vetiver, musk, and raspberry, this sounds like a fabulous burst of Spring in a bottle!

Beauty Marked! Versatile Violet Eye Shadows

Happy Tuesday, everyone! It was such fun to see all of the violet, purple and lavender eye shadows you found. I know that the colors can often seem garish in their pots, but if you apply with the right makeup brush, they'll look beautiful on the eyes. Whether you choose a burst of bright color or a subtle smoky eye, violet is a great color for easing into fall.

Trend Alert: Deep Purple Makeup For Fall 2007

We've now seen many previews for the fall 2007 beauty collections, and I've noticed a lot of deep purples popping up for the eyes and the lips. Personally, I love purples, and they look great on those of you with green and hazel eyes, but that doesn't mean that the rest of you can't wear purples too-especially if they are blended with other colors.

Here's another look at three new collections for fall with strong purple influences. There's The Seducers from Prescriptives, Vanessa Minnillo's Flirt! Collection in Party Purples and lastly Giorgio Armani Leather Collection Eye Mania Shadow Quad. How do you feel about purples for Fall?

Omnia Amethyste Perfume by Bulgari

Omnia Amethyste by Bulgari, $68, is Bulgari's newest floral scent that was launched in February. The idea was to create a unique scent and bottle for their younger adult fans. The fragrance is very light, elegant and floral and is very appropriate for the 18-25 year old audience.

The bottle is really cool too. It has interlocking sheer amethyst and opaque white circles with clean looking platinum writing. The smell was inspired by the beautiful iridescent amethyst jewel.

I can completely relate to this fragrance for young adults since a gold and amethyst heart was the first gemstone I ever received as a gift. Amethysts have precious quality and are very feminine and delicate; much like a young woman.

It is made with: green sap, sweet pink grapefruit, solar wood, rosebuds, irises and heliotrope. It is available in a 1.33 oz Eau de Toilette spray for $58 and a 2.2 oz spray for $68.

You Can Look Pretty in Purple Shadow, Too

Emma Stone sure knows how to glam it up, doesn't she? At last night's GQ Men of the Year event in LA, the actress wowed in this subtle lavender shadow. Encircling the eyes with makeup can look raccoon-like, but Emma manages to pull it off, thanks to a light touch and a soft-toned shade. The great thing about this cooler-toned shade is that it looks great during all seasons, and it just happens to be very of-the-moment. You can look pretty in purple shadow, too. Beauty Mark #2 found by baltimoregal and dollfacedot14, is called Lincoln Park After Dark by OPI. This nail enamel is part of the classic purples collection. This polish is shiny and a little bit brighter than mine. I think I'll give it a whirl. Thanks for the suggestion!

Beauty Mark #3 found by lilxmissxmolly, is called Purple Pain Nail Polish by Manic Panic. It is an iridescent purple gloss that really reminds me of the 80s. This would be a great shade for your toes or for a fun girls' night out on the town.

Beauty Mark It! A Deep Purple Nail Polish

A friend of mine gave me a bottle of NYX Nail Polish in Carol, $4 (bottom row, fourth polish from left) over the holidays. I've been using it since December (mainly on my toe nails) and believe it or not, it is already running out!

What I like about it is that it is still pretty trendy since it's dark, but it's not so dark that it looks black. Also, when you take it off, it doesn't stain your nail beds like some other lacquers do.
