I have sensitive, combination skin. I heard a lot of good things about Neutrogena, and decided to try this face wash based on recommendations. Unfortunately, this face wash didn't work as well for me as other people. I felt like it left residue on my skin without really taking any dirt away. It's been so bad for me that I've begun breaking out all over my face, and no matter how little makeup I wear, or how often I wash my face, the acne wasn't going away. I've since switched over to Clinique, and within a day of using the Clinique cleanser, my breakouts are starting to fade.

Dry patches and flaky skin are common complaints during this season, but if you have sensitive skin, the last thing you want to do is use a harsh and heavy body scrub. Enter Ahava Source Gentle Body Exfoliator ($20), reviewed by reader stoopeed. Here's what she had to say:

Though this product didn't really exfoliate a lot (maybe it was too subtle for me), it is one of the best daily body washes I've found. The cleansing is really nice, [and] it leaves my skin soft, clean, and happy. And the fragrance is, for wont of a more suitable word, uplifting. It is very subtle, does not interfere with your fragrance, and does not linger. . . But in one of my most depressing winters when I was not used to the long, dark winters of the north, I would feel much much better after a shower with this.

Mariah Carey launched Mariah Carey Eau de Parfum Spray ($42) back in 2007, and if you love gourmand fragrances that aren't too sticky sweet, this fragrance might just be for you. It's an oriental scent containing notes of amber, patchouli, and Morocco incense. Here's what reader MalibuMands had to say about it:

If you like Pink Sugar, Fantasy, Angel, Princess, or Flowerbomb, you need to try M. It's sweet, but not too sweet. The notes of marshmallow and sea breeze accord bring back childhood memories of Autumn holidays by the sea, walking along near the fairs. Despite it not being overpowering, the staying power is very good. I love the color purple, and I have a butterfly tattoo, so I think the bottle is lovely.

I don't know why, but my experiences with lip liner and eyeliner sharpeners have never been what one would call lucky. Are you in the market for a new sharpener like me, but don't want to spend lots of money to replace your old, beat-up, or gone-missing one? Reader coachluvr33 has the solution, then. Help This Reader Find an Eye Cream

The other day I received an email from a reader looking for a good eye cream, and I thought that instead of just giving her a couple of options I like, I'd open up the floor to all of the eye-stuff experts reading the site. Want to help her out? Then here's what she has to say:

"I'm 25 years old, and I've decided I'd like to finally delve into the world of eye creams (I hope I'm not too late!). However, I don't really know where to start! Makeup counters have advice, but it all seems biased. I'm looking for something meant for a girl my age that'll offer SPF while combating puffiness and dark circles. Does this product exist? I'm a little worried that using the wrong cream could be detrimental-no need to load up on unnecessary chemicals, right?"

In my own experience, on the high end I'd recommend something like a Lancome Genefique Eye ($59), and for a cheaper, more natural option, a product like Weleda's Wild Rose Eye Cream ($22.75). What are your thoughts?

Reader Review of the Day: L'Oréal Sublime Slim Tightening and Toning Treatment Gel

For all the highest rated products on our Product Reviews website, there are also plenty of beauty goods that haven't received the most wonderful of ratings. Take the L'Oréal Sublime Slim Tightening and Toning Treatment Gel ($12), for instance, which claims to both tighten and tone the skin around the abs. Here's what reader Jen4 had to say:

I do not like this product for two reasons. The first, and also the major reason, is that it does not work at all. I do not expect this product to flatten my abs in a short of period of time, but I think at least it should be able to keep them tighter. Second, it smells like cough syrup or some kind of mint ointment. The scent does not bring me any pleasant feeling.

Reader clarkbar9 didn't get what she bargained for after using the Perfect Heat Professional Ceramic Straightener ($30) from Revlon, and here's what she had to say:

I purchased this because I had read a review that said it was a great value straightener. I used to have a much more expensive one, so I figured, why not save the money? Well, now I know why. It just doesn't flatten the hair as smoothly as more expensive products that I've used. I used to be able to use my straightener to twist my hair to give it texture, or to create crimpy curls, but this simply isn't strong enough. Even just using it regularly, I have to take twice as much time to go over each section of hair. It's worth investing in a better product.
