How to Apply Blush For Your Face Shape: Round

Round faces like Kirsten Dunst's tend to be petite, so blush can look like an all-over wash of color instead of a natural flush if you don't have the correct application techniques. My friend Joselyn swears by these steps for the perfect blush:

Use a fan brush, which is great for accurate application on smaller faces, to apply blush in a boomerang shape, with the tips right under the outer corners of your eyes and the fullest part of the arc under the inner corners of your eyes.
Continue using the fan brush to fill in the boomerang.
Use a medium-sized brush to blend your blush, making sure not to sweep the color any lower than the bottom of your cheekbones and no further out than the ends of your eyebrows.
Apply a touch of blush along your upper temples and to the center of your chin to give your face a little more definition.

Welcome to my series on bangs for your face shape. In the past, I've covered blush colors for your skin tone, moisturizers for your skin type and eye shadows to enhance your eye color. Now with celebrities like Kate Moss and Carmen Electra making bangs look sexier than ever, I thought some information about which bang styles compliment your face shape might be helpful.

The first part of the series is about round faces. Celebs such as Cameron, Carmen, Christina, Kirsten and Kate are just a few famous femmes with round faces. (That's a lot of K sounds-I wonder if the shape of your face is correlated to the sound of your name!)

If you have a round face, you'll first want to start off with a haircut that flatters your face shape and then move onto the "fringe benefits" later.

What you're aiming for is long, side-swept bangs or wispy fringes. Both help take attention away from the sides of your face, creating an arch which will help elongate your face. Stay away from super-choppy bangs or short layers that add volume to the sides.

You may covet your favorite celeb's hairstyle, but if the 'do doesn't fit your face shape, you're likely to be disappointed. If you have a full, round face, you share your facial structure with Gwyneth Paltrow, Oprah Winfrey, Kate Bosworth, Cameron Diaz, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The shape is characterized by a round chin and lack of sharp angles. Round faces tend to be wider at the cheeks, with softer shaping along the jawline and forehead. Round faces need balance, which can be achieved with hairstyles that make the face appear longer.

Tom and Suri Cruise Hit Disneyland Together

Tom Cruise took Suri to Disneyland yesterday afternoon. The father-daughter duo held hands as they walked between rides, and were even seen taking a spin for two on the teacups. Suri, who was dressed up for the occasion, made the rounds with her face painted. The outing comes at a relatively calm period for Tom, work-wise. He's between projects after making a press tour for box-office champ Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and finishing filming One Shot. He's got promoting his Summer movie Rock of Ages to come on the 2012 agenda. Tom's also branched out with his growing online presence. Tom Cruise joined WhoSay, and will hopefully now share even more pictures of his adventures.

There are lots (and I mean, lots) of reasons why my motivation to work out during the Winter plummets - from the snowy commute to freezing cold winds to the cold, dry air that hits my chest with such force that it becomes hard to breathe. What makes cycling such an effective alternative is that it's taking the fun full-body workout people love indoors, and instead of scenery, you'll stay motivated to challenge yourself thanks to encouraging instructors and a killer playlist. Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron are featured on two separate covers for the publication, though there are plenty more award season contenders inside the pages. In attendance yesterday were Emma Stone, in Lanvin, Elizabeth Olsen, Rachel Zoe, and more stars who have been making the rounds all week.

One new face on the carpet was Jessica Biel, who had no ring on her finger despite news that she and Justin Timberlake got engaged over the holidays. Jessica didn't stop to chat on her way into the bash, though we did share a few words with The Help's Octavia Spencer and Viola Davis. Octavia talked about almost missing the presentation of the best ensemble cast award at the Critics' Choice Awards, while Viola gave us some insight into how she prepares her speeches. Miranda Kerr also posed for cameras in a bright white dress after stepping out to celebrate her new role with Qantas and her husband Orlando Bloom's birthday this week.
