Yesterday, back in Los Angeles, DJ Samantha Ronson showed off her new short crop haircut on a walk with Lindsay Lohan. Since the blonde has been cut off on the sides, her hair has a two-toned color. Samantha's had a double-dyed hue for some time now, but it's never been quite this pale or short. If anyone can pull off a punky hairstyle, it's a hip DJ - but do you think Samantha does it well?

It's Cool-Girl Chic at Charlotte Ronson

This morning's Charlotte Ronson show was packed to full capacity. Did the clothes draw the crowds? Maybe - but the chances of seeing Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson might have helped, too. Even though Jessica Stam and Jessica Szohr had a hard time backstage, Linds and Samantha swooped in and enjoyed a front-row vantage point.

Going along with Ronson's downtown-girl style, the hair and makeup were the farthest thing from fussy. Models clomped down the runway with mussed-up ponytails pulled back loosely, with flyaways adding an insouciant touch to the style. A bit of bronzer brightened up an otherwise nude complexion, but if you really want the Ronson face, a sheer fruit-punch gloss on your lips will give you something to smile about. Love It or Hate It? Lindsay Lohan's MTV Movie Awards Look

Surprisingly, Lindsay Lohan walked the red carpet without Samantha Ronson by her side. Can't say this is my favorite-ever look, especially because the blonde hair and pink lipstick wash Lindsay's skin out. But she still has a little sparkle in her eye, which makes me think that Sam isn't too far away - or it could just be that her makeup artist really knows how to make her peepers pop.

Bella Brand: Dianne Brill Cosmetics

Before Samantha Ronson and the Misshapes were fixtures on Manhattan's nightlife scene, there was Dianne Brill. Known in the '80s as the "Queen of the Night," she's moved into the new century with an eponymous line of makeup. Inspired by the boudoir, the products feature packaging designed to look like a pair of fishnet stockings.

I haven't tried much from this line, but I do like its Lip Lingerie lipstick ($23). I have it in Cuban Heel, a slightly brown, deep red. It has a rich, satiny finish with long-lasting color. Dianne Brill also has eye shadows, glosses and all of the other colorful things you'd expect; unfortunately, though, there are only five shades of foundation, so I'd stick with the lip and eye colors.
