Today, People confirms with a first look at the new ad. On the other front, the ad for Mariah Carey's new fragrance, Mariah Carey Forever, has also just been released. Both endorsements feature the stars dressed in slinky, form-fitting gowns while striking seductive poses. Each ad also works in a monotone element, with warm, café au lait shades in Mariah's and soft, rosy tones in Scarlett's. If you had to choose your favorite of the duo, which one wins out?

Scarlett Shares Her Favorite Beauty Tips

As the face of Dolce & Gabbana's makeup line, which rolled out last February, Scarlett Johansson's been hitting the red carpet these days with some impressively bold makeup looks. Recently, the brand's Swide.com, caught up with Scarlett in London, where the actress dished on her beauty tips, muses, and favorite shades. Check out highlights from the interview below:

On changing her look from city to city: My makeup doesn't necessarily change from city to city, but more from a daytime event to a nighttime event. For daytime, I like to keep my look simple with a creamy complexion, rosy cheek and minimal, if any lip color. For nighttime, I like to try many different looks varying from a smoky eye and nude lip to a classic eyeliner and red lip.
Her beauty muses: I always look at classic beauties to pay homage to on the red carpet. Rita Hayworth, Lauren Bacall, and Lucille Ball are beauty icons that inspire many of my looks.
On what makeup she'd grab from the line if she only had five minutes: The lipsticks are absolutely phenomenal. I love the cream lipsticks, the consistency is great and the colors are really opaque. Devil is the ideal red. Wearing it is the perfect way to feel dressed up, flirty and playful without having to put in too much effort.
Her tip for creating an old-school look: Use a lip pencil, like #3, to line the outer edges of the lips before filling in with red lipstick in order to create the perfect classic lip shape.

For a while, it seemed as if Scarlett Johansson was going darker and darker (and redder and redder) with her locks. But at last night's Opening Night of LA Shorts Fest '09, she debuted this lighter-toned hairstyle with a bit more strawberry, and a little less auburn. We already know that the actress is definitely not shy when it comes to wearing bold makeup looks - or even hardly any makeup at all, for that matter. I just hope she's got some amazing conditioner. Earlier this month, the starlet wore a somewhat similar really red look, which most of you liked. But this time around, at an event in London last night, she upped the ante with a different attitude. In January, Stefano Gabbana of the famed design duo of Dolce and Gabbana, told WWD that lipstick would be the core piece of the their new makeup collection. "When I see a woman madeup, I look straight to the lips," he said.

Yesterday, at an event following Dolce and Gabbana's runway show in Milan, Scarlett Johansson, the newly tapped spokesperson for the design duo's first makeup collection, was in attendance. As for those bold lips? Gabbana wasn't kidding around. Scarlett, looking a little paler than normal - could be the foundation, or perhaps the paparazzi's camera flashes? - wore a richly pigmented red lip with sultry, brown smokey eyes. How-To: Scarlett's Sophisticated Dolce & Gabbana Chignon

Back in December, it was announced that the design duo of Dolce & Gabbana would be coming out with a long-anticipated makeup line, with a mysterious "Hollywood starlet" to be the spokesmodel. That starlet just happened to turn out to be Scarlett Johansson. And yesterday, the young actress made an appearance at the Dolce & Gabbana Makeup event during Milan Fashion Week, undoubtedly wearing a palette of shades from the collection.
While her makeup was perfection on her flawless skin, I thought her shiny chignon, complete with black floral headband, gave her a sophisticated, youthful look. Is it me, or is her hair looking a little less brown, and a little more cherry red since the last time we saw her? Learn how to re-create Scarlett's chignon when you read more.

Separate the bang area of the front of your hair. Notice how Scarlett's stylist has taken a rather large chunk of hair from the fringe area.
Start by teasing the crown of your hair to create volume. This also gives bobby pins something more to cling onto for further hold. Lightly comb out to smooth.
Gather back of hair into a high-slung ponytail around the crown of your head. Secure with an elastic band. Roll hair in towards the elastic band, securing with several bobby pins. Use your fingers to lightly break up the roll. This will also bring your chignon to life.
Next, tease the separate bang area from the front and smooth out with a comb. Bring it back to the chignon and pin in sections, as needed. Spray with a high shine hairspray like Jonathan Product Finish Control High Shine ($22). Top off with a black floral headband to complete. I like Anthropologie's Twisted Taffy Headband ($32), Urban Outfitters' Floppy Flower Hard Headband ($18), or the Satin Headband With Bow ($4) from Forever 21.
