The Met's Costume Institute Gala: Selma Blair

Hello, bangs. Selma chooses an exceptionally high style for her look creating a good three inches of volume from the looks of it. The rest of her hair is stick straight and tucked behind her ears, which makes it hard to glance away from the top.

But . . . on her face, she's got blushed cheeks and rosy lips with some eyeliner and smudged shadow pointing from the outer portions of her eyes for a sweet sort of catlike look. Is her look out of this world in a good way, or not so much?

Best of 2008: Beauty Chameleon

I admire anyone who tries anything different, and these ladies represent the best of the best when it comes to taking beauty risks. Whether you love their looks or not, you've got to give credit to anyone who shows up with multi-colored spikes and a trendy new lip color at one event, and then hair extensions and subdued makeup at another. The ladies in this lovely bunch are what I like to call the chameleons - that select group of celebs who never fail to excite us with their bold, ever-changing styles. So, what do you think? Do You Prefer Selma Blair's Hair Short or Long?

I have a feeling it might be hard to be Selma Blair's best friend. Not only is she an actress who's buddies with Marc Jacobs (just imagine, "So Marc said the funniest thing the other night..."), she also seemingly never has a bad hairstyle. A few months ago, she had a chic Fitzgerald-heroine crop; now she's wearing natural-looking extensions. I think she looks great both ways, even if being around her all of the time would make me want to wear a hat when my hair looks goofy. Which way do you prefer?

What works if you're a Cancer: Versatility is key, especially because your whims may change at any moment.
