How-To: Do It Like Loren

...and Padma and even Anne. In the most recent issue of Allure, I read a cool tip that Top Chef's Padma Lakshmi follows to create Sophia Loren-esque eyes. First, she starts by applying some black eyeliner to her lash line, then adds a blue liner on top. Simple, easy, and sexy - a classic look.

Usually, having any black and blue anywhere on my body is something I try to avoid, but we're talking Sophia Loren here, so I just had to try to duplicate this look. I began by drawing a winged out, heavy-on-the-outer-corners black line, then smudged on a deep navy liner powder. The results were dramatic, trendy, and oh-so 1960s chic.

Next week, He's Just Not That Into You arrives in theaters, and we recently had a quick chat with Drew Barrymore - a beauty chameleon if one ever existed.

Remember the buzz she created with this cotton-candy hairstyle at the Golden Globes? "I’m super inspired by the '60s," she said of the blond bouffant. "[People] like Ann-Margret, Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe, Sharon Tate, those women."

"But going platinum blonde wasn't just a whim," she adds. "I am constantly trying to reinvent myself, and because I’ve been working so much for the past few years on all these projects I have coming out this year, I sort of got lazy and wasn’t thinking - and no one was really looking at me, and it was great," she says of her decision to bleach. "That said, we only have a certain amount of time on this planet and I want to try everything. So get out of your safe zones, dive in, and have fun."

Looks like motherhood is treating Jessica Alba very well. Although we've seen Jessica wear dramatic makeup before, this is the first time in a while that she's looked so Sophia Loren-style glamorous. Guess when you have a front-row seat to the Narciso Rodriguez show and are next to other famous ladies, you go all-out. Is it me or do you also think that Eva Mendes looks like a cross between Gina Gershon, Cindy Crawford and Sophia Loren? I think I have a girl crush on her! Plus, she can somehow pull off looking like a million bucks in all of these lipstick shades. Some gals get all the looks, huh. If I had to choose my favorite, I'd pick the center one. She looks the most classical here. Which lipstick do you think is the most flattering on Eva?
