I pretty much already revealed my pick for best concealer. (Philosophy, remember?) So, you had some previous knowledge of my favorite of 2008. But when it comes to concealers, what did you think?

While MAC was only a few votes behind, there's no hiding it, Bare Escentuals is the winner of the Best Concealer of 2008 poll. Its much-loved Bisque ($20) does a beautiful job concealing - and it can be used as an eyeshadow primer, too.

The Votes Are In: Best Lipstick Is MAC

When it came to the best of lipsticks, MAC was the hands down winner this year, taking over 30 percent of the vote. Much loved for their reasonably priced lipsticks with every type of color and texture imaginable, it's clear to see why MAC came out on top. And as for my winner? I'm going to have to agree with you on this one. With MAC's fashion-y collaboration with Ungaro and do-gooder Viva Glam line (a portion of the proceeds go to people living with AIDS), the popular cosmetics company had a banner year. I am not surprised by the results of Best Foundation of 2008. Whenever Bare Escentuals Foundation ($25) is mentioned on this site, loads and loads of comments come in raving about the brand. I've got to agree. Its foundations do provide great coverage, last for ages, and come in a variety of shades.

Oh, and since so many of you wrote in that you loved the blendability and color selection of L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup ($9.29), it looks like I'll have to put that on my list of must-try drugstore foundations. As for my pick? I'm going with Prescriptives on this one. With a wide variety of formulations and a custom match, you just can't go wrong with its attention-to-detail kind of service. Want more? Actress Anne Hathaway sure had one sexy, stylish red carpet year. While some life events might not have played out the way she would have hoped, she sure revved it up when it came to glamorous hair and makeup looks.

The Votes Are In: Best Mascara Is Dior

While drugstore varieties Maybelline and CoverGirl (along with luxe Lancôme) were neck-in-neck for second place in the Best Mascara of 2008 showdown, it seems that the majority of you adore Dior when it comes to mascara. Our very own DearSugar agrees. "I can't tell you how much I love my Dior!" she said with gusto.

As for me, my favorite mascara of the year is Givenchy's truly unique Phenomen'Eyes Mascara. It made some of my sparsest of lashes look longer and thicker. Yeah, it took some getting used to, but once I got it down, I was sold. Are you excited to see some more results? Whoa, who knew that this year's Best Shampoo of 2008 would only win by a hair? Oh dear. Seeing that Frédéric Fekkai was just four votes under, we'll give the brand an honorable mention. And as for the official winner? Let's give Pantene some kudos for delivering good-smelling, feel-nice products that don't break the bank.

What's my favorite? I'm with you on the drugstore shampoo. My pick is Cristophe Beverly Hills, a natural, fragrance-free line, available at CVS, that makes my hair - and the beau's - feel fantastic. This year, it was all about getting more than just a trim at the salon. For 2008, shorter styles like the modern pixie and "lob" dominated as the cuts of the year. As far as your favorite, it was a close call between Rihanna and Heidi Klum, but the winner of the Best Shorter Cut of 2008 is Rihanna.

Late in 2007, Rihanna changed her graduated bob to a long and wavy style before settling into her now trademark asymmetrical razored cut.
