Spotted! A Cute, Easy Twist on Braids
Everyone has a few quick, two-minute hairstyles that we throw together when we're running late. But few of mine look as cute as this one. While backstage at the Karen Walker Spring 2009 show, I spotted Teen Vogue Beauty Assistant Maura Lynch sporting this cool twist on braids.

Teen Vogue held a beachside runway show yesterday, and the outfits had this hippie-meets-Easy Rider early '70s look to it. Maybe that explains this out-there eye makeup. Whatcha think?

The Met's Costume Institute Gala: Katy Perry
With this sleek blunt hairstyle, Katy Perry declared to Teen Vogue that she "feels like Cleopatra" tonight. Is it me, or do you also see somewhat of a futuristic Betty Rubble in the mix, especially with the royal blue dress, metallic accents, and black locks?
This look, which is a lot bolder and richer than her opaque pink style from this year's Grammys, relies on some shimmery gold shadow in the inner v's, along with a bronze-toned shade on the contour to create a smoky look.
