Dolce & Gabbana Reveals Its Lacy Side

Every year around this time, brands pull out all the stops and issue gorgeous limited-edition versions of their best-loved products. This year is already proving to be a bumper crop, with skin care, makeup, and scent brands all getting in on the action. Over at Dolce & Gabbana, the two fabric lovers in chief have put together this pretty new bottle for their popular fragrance The One. This Lace Edition ($75) smells exactly like the original, but the black floral net appliqués make the bottle a divine gift for anyone who already enjoys the scent. "You wear the fragrance on your skin the way you'd wear the finest Sicilian lace, and this campaign celebrates that," the brand's face, Scarlett Johansson, has said. The new edition certainly does the concept justice.

Fab Flash: Gisele is Still Number One

IMG Models have confirmed that uber gorgeous super model Gisele Bündchen will walk only one runway at Milan Fashion Week. It will be next Thursday for the Fall 2007 Dolce & Gabbana show. This is the first show she has walked for them since Spring 2003. Her spokesperson said:

“Gisele has a fragrance with Dolce and is doing their show exclusively in Milan next week.”

Oooh, sounds like an upcoming Beauty Byte to me! The fragrance referred to is The One by Dolce & Gabbana , and will be launched in the U.S. this summer. No fair - it has already been available in Europe for months!

The One features the Brazilian beauty in both print and television ads. This is the first new fragrance launched by the Italian duo since their licensing deal with Proctor & Gamble Prestige Products in December 2005.

We can't wait to see the gazelle-like Gisele dressed in Dolce at the show on Thursday. At least we know she'll smell great!

Jay-Z Hits Carnegie Hall For First Performance Since Welcoming Baby Blue!

Jay-Z was beaming as he hit the stage in NYC Monday evening to kick off his two back-to-back Carnegie Hall shows to benefit the United Way as well as his Sean Carter Foundation. It's Jay-Z's first performance since becoming a dad to baby Blue Ivy Carter in early January and he was looking sharp in his Dolce&Gabbana tuxes. New mom Beyoncé Knowles also stepped out for her first appearance since Blue's arrival, and though she stuck to the sidelines during the show Jay-Z did have some special guests including Alicia Keys and Nas. While fans anxiously await the first glimpse of Blue Ivy, the one month old has already broken records. Jay-Z "Glory," which he wrote and released a day after her birth made Blue the youngest person ever to hit the Billboard charts.

Fragrance Review: Dolce & Gabbana The One

The latest fragrance from Dolce & Gabbana is The One. You've probably seen the ads, featuring Gisele Bundchen doing the sexy-lady thing she does so well. (Still, when I see "The One," I can't stop thinking of the Backstreet Boys.)

The One is a warm, floral Oriental fragrance. It has top notes of bergamot and mandarin, with touches of lychee and peach. The heart note is more floral, and as the fragrance dries down, you can smell notes of vanilla and sweet amber. I expected this fragrance to be overtly sexy, much like the gorgeous dresses Dolce & Gabbana are known for. What I got, though, was somethin' else. Find out what it was when you

read more When I received the Eau de Parfum, I giddily opened it. I gave a spritz to my arm and waited for my sexy aura to become unmistakable. While that technically happened, it was a very special kind of sexiness: The sexiness embodied in Blanche Devereaux. Y'see, the scent leans just a little too much into the "mature" side of things. I even asked DannySF to take a sniff-and without me saying anything to him, he said, "It's nice... but it's a little old-lady." That sums it up pretty well: It's a nice enough scent, but certainly not a signature fragrance-and definitely not something I'd expect to smell on a very young woman. If you're a huge D&G fan, you might want to try this, but otherwise, it's just so-so. Finally, I found the commercial for the fragrance, which manages to make Gisele seem like a demanding diva. I'm sure she's just acting (I've heard through the grapevine that she's super down-to-earth) but the ad certainly doesn't make me want to smell The One.

She's fronting the magazine to chat up her new movie, The Vow, and her costar Channing Tatum. He's the latest in a long line of hotties with whom she's shared the screen. Two of her leading men, Ryan Gosling and Michael Sheen, have become her real-life companions as well. Nonetheless, Rachel doesn't advocate meeting a boyfriend on set. She also spoke about how ladies love Ryan and her early start as an employee at McDonald's. Rachel told Glamour:

On dating her costars: "A set may seem like a good place for romance, but I don't think it's very conducive; it's too distracting. Every relationship I've had with a coworker has come after the fact, because you wind up actually spending a lot of time with those people promoting the movie."

Matt, Scarlett, and Elle Reveal Big Holiday Plans at Their NYC Premiere

The stars of We Bought a Zoo gathered in NYC last night for their big premiere. Matt Damon walked the carpet with his wife Luciana close behind, as Scarlett Johansson and Elle Fanning showed off their lovely dresses. Elle picked a white Louis Vuitton number, while Scarlett went with the opposite in black Dolce & Gabbana. We caught a minute with the three stars yesterday, with Elle telling us about her holiday plans. She'd love a film camera for Christmas, and aspires to stop biting her nails in 2012! Scarlett, meanwhile, is looking to catch up on her sleep during her holidays. Matt is planning to take a break with his family, including his four daughters. Matt's latest movie, Almost Famous director Cameron Crowe's first-ever family film, hasn't earned him points with the little ones, though. Rooney is currently focused on her serious role in the movie adaptation of the novel, but she recently switched gears to film another project. Rooney was on set with Ryan Gosling for Lawless last month when the duo cozied up for the cameras on the Terrence Malick-directed project.
