Katy Perry isn't the only celebrity hopping on the sparkly, encrusted nail bandwagon. Beyonce had similarly wild nails with heart-shaped jewels on them last night at the MTV Europe Awards, and Kristen Bell was sporting iridescent foiled nails recently, too. I think this trend is so creative and cool, but what about you?

Hairstylist Moulay Yacoubi of the Pierre Michel Salon in NYC, has styled the locks of celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, and Elizabeth Hurley; and when it comes to what's hot now, Yacoubi knows his stuff. Recently, I had the chance to chat with the stylist regarding trendy styles, but more importantly, he emphasized, "People should be aware, [and ask] 'Am I going to look good with that haircut?'" Earlobe rejuvenation, a quick, less-than-an-hour, outpatient procedure to lift sagging ears is fast becoming a growing trend, particularly for American women in their 50s and 60s. "We make the earlobes look plumper, more rounded and smaller, giving a more youthful image," plastic surgeon Dr. Matthew Schulman told the Daily Mail.

Faking a shorter haircut by means of skillfully placed hair pins is nothing new. In fact, we saw Rosario Dawson do her own faux-crop late last year, followed by Nicole Kidman's asymmetric version. In recent times, the look has taken on resurgence in popularity, as celebrities have been tricking us out with their own adaptations, giving the appearance of freshly cut locks.

Over the last couple of days, celebrities have been popping up at Fashion Week and the 2009 Toronto Film Festival with more than a love of cool clothing or a movie premiere in common. From Rachel Bilson to Drew Barrymore, blue and blue-green nails are everywhere. I love that these traditionally warmer-weather shades are making the seasonal transition, and the range of fashionable colors means there are flattering colors and depths of tones for practically every skin tone.

You would have thought it was still pre-Labor Day with the way celebrities were wearing white eye shadow on the red carpet. Ladies from The Hills, from The City, and from just plain ol' Hollywood were all about the white out, whether, like Beyonce, they kept it subtle along their upper lids or, like Lauren Conrad, had major white shadow along the inner eyes and lots of black eyeliner along the outer. We already know that white nail polish is a major trend of the moment, so perhaps white eye shadows will also be hot this season.

No visible makeup is officially a makeup trend: at Rachel Comey, BCBG, and Cynthia Steffe, the models have all gone seemingly bare. In fact, Lisa Butler, the makeup artist at the BCBG show, said, "It’s all about the individual. The look is finished, but not made up."
