Being a drop-dead gorgeous woman never hurts, but in Uma Thurman's case, it's led to two high-profile, highly lucrative beauty endorsement deals. You may remember Uma as the face of Lancôme's fragrance Miracle, but that relationship soured; last year, Uma sued Lancôme to the tune of $20 million.

But the actress has moved on, as she will become the new face of Parfums Givenchy. The French fashion house has tapped Uma to represent its next women's fragrance, and an advertising campaign is planned for September. Uma joins Justin Timberlake and Liv Tyler in endorsing Givenchy's fragrances, making the brand's celebrity faces a diverse bunch indeed. Uma Sues Lancôme. Whose Side Are You On?

Uma Thurman is having a litigious year. It wasn't long ago that her stalker fan was found guilty, but now she's suing Lancôme - to the tune of $20,000,000.

Uma's beef? As a former Lancôme spokesmodel, she complains that the French brand continued to use her likeness to sell products even after her contract had expired. For instance, Thurman's image showed up on Canadian billboards and Asian web sites after the contract expired. Lancôme, who filed suit against Uma earlier this week to beat her to the legal punch, claims that those were accidents. "The use of Ms. Thurman's image after her contract expired, however minor, was neither deliberate nor intentional," a spokeswoman said.

Uma is asking for at least $5 million for four separate claims, which could net her $20 million. Now, I'm no Matlock, but I think someone is asking for a pretty big payday, especially considering she was likely paid a few million dollars for her endorsement in the first place. Beauty Byte: Lindsay Sued Over Tanning Spray

Unfortunately, sometimes part of being a celebrity is dealing with lawsuits, whether something goes awry with a beauty contract, as in the case of Uma Thurman and Lancôme, or questions arise over secret ingredients in the formulation, as in the case of Kate Hudson, who helped develop David Babaii for Wildaid. Now, it looks like Lindsay Lohan is the next star facing some legal issues of her own.

In a lawsuit filed in Tampa, chemist Jennifer Sunday claims that Lindsay and her business partner, Lorit Simon, stole the formula for Sevin Nyne, a Lohan-endorsed tanning spray which launched back in April. According to the suit, Simon and Sunday had been hammering out details of the tanning spray, but weren't able to agree on pricing.

"The next thing we know, Lorit Simon and Lindsay Lohan are partnering and Ms. Lohan is taking credit for developing this formula, which she indeed had no role in," Sunday's attorney, Marcia Cohen, told the St. Petersburg Times. Whether it's all a big misunderstanding or there is truth behind these allegations, one thing's for sure: there's never a dull moment when Lindsay's involved.

Here's something from the why-didn't-they-think-of-this-before files: Elizabeth Arden's Pure Finish Mineral Powder Foundation ($37.50). It's a mineral makeup foundation with a twist - literally. Housed in a sturdy compact, the foundation is released with a gentle twist, revealing a few shavings of fresh powder. Since you can produce as much or as little as you want, it's a nice way to transport mineral makeup without having to worry about powder spilling all over the place.

An extra perk: It has built-in SPF, which is one reason that makeup artist Jenna Menard used Pure Finish on Uma Thurman while the actress was at the Sundance Film Festival. I've been using this powder on days when I don't want to spend a ton of time futzing with liquid foundation, or I just need to cover a few imperfections. It covers redness and blemishes but doesn't look heavy. (I do, however, still need a separate concealer for my Uncle Fester under-eye circles.)
