Hairstylist Moulay Yacoubi of the Pierre Michel Salon in NYC, has styled the locks of celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, and Elizabeth Hurley; and when it comes to what's hot now, Yacoubi knows his stuff. Recently, I had the chance to chat with the stylist regarding trendy styles, but more importantly, he emphasized, "People should be aware, [and ask] 'Am I going to look good with that haircut?'" The Met's Costume Institute Gala: Victoria Beckham

I'd like to think if I had Victoria's bone structure, I would also proudly wear blush like a pro - look how highlighted her cheeks are! As for the rest, she chooses pale glossy lips and dark-lined eyes with a hint of tan shimmer in the inside corners. Makes a nice makeup match for her dress color combo, too. Her hair is simple and slicked down so as not to distract from her face. Is Posh living up to that old nickname, or would you prefer something more done up?

How-To: Victoria Beckham's Oscar-Night Hair

Last night, Victoria Beckham was among the people who raised more than $4 million to fund AIDS research at the Elton John AIDS Foundation soiree. She looked uh-may-zing in a dress of her own creation (!) and proves that short hair can be ubersexy. Turns out that the dress provided inspiration for hair stylist Ken Paves. "For Victoria, I wanted to create a simple and elegant style to pair with her ultraglam and modern dress," he explained.

Step one: Spritz volumizer (Ken uses his own Healthy Hair Volumizing Spray, $24) on damp hair.
Step one: Use a vented brush while blow-drying hair.
Step three: Create a deep side part.
Step four: Finish by using gel just around the hairline.

Love It or Hate It? Victoria Beckham's Vibrant, Multilayered Headband

Leave it to Victoria Beckham to treat us with looks that delight and mystify at the same time. Whether it's a sleek vinyl hair accessory or a slew of long to short styles, the former pop singer keeps us on our toes.

Today, Beckham was out in Milan sporting an unusual multihued headband with layers of magenta-toned bows atop of layers of red bows. Two bejeweled brooches added to the whimsy.

To keep the look more toned down, she paired the bold with the simple, sporting a chic black dress with black accessories. What are you thinking of her crimson headband? Does it dazzle or does it frazzle?

It's increasingly difficult not to love Victoria Beckham. Past that steely faced facade, she's quite funny - and it's clear that although she enjoys living large, she doesn't take herself too seriously.
